From California we head to Mount Vernon, Ohia to pick up HowieT that started dipping when he was 12! Howie has been married for 20 years and has two children ages 10 and 13. Howie plans on bringing some Cheetos to get the party started on the HOF Train! Howie knows a thing or two about inappropriate behavior and says the craziest thing he has ever done was almost admit to inappropriate behavior on a public website! I figured Howie for a lawyer after reading that but heÂ’s an Engineering Technician riding in a 1989 F-150. Howie plans to celebrate 100 days by signing up for another 100!
Howie’s words of wisdom “You don’t quit just once; you quit every day, sometimes several times per day. You never truly fail until you quit trying.” – HowieT knows the Quit.
Congrats HowieT on your 100 days to the HOF!

Howie, from your intro I see that you quit on 6/28. Which means that as by others you are in the Pre-HOF-October 2013 quit group. Go there post roll, do so daily as that is your promise to be quit. Don't post roll for my good because your quit is all about you and your quit.

However, like me you will learn that the added accountability helps tremendously, get some phone numbers from other quitters to help you post roll, add accountability and other stuff. October is a good group of people with diverse backgrounds and we pepper the US with members.

Come quit with us!

I-O!  Just killing some time during an afternoon break at work.  I hope to spend more of my free time here, though.  I'd better get back to it.
You should strongly consider going to your qit group of October 13 and posting roll. Posting roll along with the accountability of your brothers there can be the strongest additional support of your quit. If you think your family is good for your quit, you haven't seen nothing yet. October is calling your name. It's good to quit with you today.

  • Interests: I was addicted to nicotine for about 19 years before I actually realized that I was an addict to a drug. Allen Carr helped open my eyes with LionHeartedGirl (my sister). I am currently on day 2 and because of the frame of mind and different point of view that "The Easy Way" has given me, I don't doubt for one moment that I have ingested the last bit of that weed for the rest of my life. I am 35 now and am setting a goal of living long enough to have saved $100,000 because of my quit. At the same time, I am setting the goal of not smoking TODAY! One step at a time, while keeping my eyes on the horizon.

Quit Date 6/28/2013
« on: September 05, 2013, 01:40:00 PM »
Hello. Until my quit date of 6/28/2013, I had either rubbed snuff or smoked for the better part of 30 years. I have been married for 20 years and have two great children, but it was't always easy for my wife. My habit caused more than a few 'spirited' discussions between she and I, but mostly because I would lie to her about having quit. I just happened to find this website a few weeks after I quit and it has helped my family to inspire me to continue. I also find comfort in gum, sunflower seeds (David chili lime are my faves), and Smokey Mountain wintergreen pouches. Some of my favorite activities are watching my kids play softball and baseball, fishing, watching ANY Ohio State sport, Reds baseball, and Bengals football. As you might have already guessed, I was born and raised in the Central Ohio area and am a huge homer! I look forward to reading insightful posts and hope that I can someday inspire someone to quit.
