Welcome to the asylum Grizzwizz.....excellent choice and you have already gotten excellent advice from some bad ass quitters. I will add that in my short time here I have observed a pattern of behavior that is directly linked to successful quits. The folks who post roll every day or nearly every day and take roll seriously are rock star quitters. Folks who post on a semi-regular basis and look at roll as a nuisance or inconvenience tend to fall away, cave and then post a Day 1 again in the future with apologies. So my advice, take roll seriously and you can't lose. It is a fool proof system if you are a man of your word. I'm not a UA of alum however I live in the furnace north of Tucson. Welcome aboard and thanks for your service as well.

GW, glad to have you here. Stay true to your daily promise. Get connected to guys in your quit group as well as some more seasoned quitters. This is one of the best decisions you'll ever make.

Post roll, get involved. You came to the right place.

PM me if I can help in any way.

Welcome GW. You have some hard days ahead of you. BUT.......................... you can do this if you want to. We can help. Welcome to quit.

Get some numbers, ASAP.

Post roll early.

Drink lots of water.

No alcohol, NONE. At least a couple weeks. Trust me, it is worth it.

Cut way back on caffeine.

Keep your word. You can do this. I promise. One day at a time. It gets easier as you go.

You need anything, reach out. My number is there for the asking.

Welcome Grizzwizz, nailed your first attempt at roll ... Nicely done! Now we know that you're able to grasp that concept (you would be surprised how many struggle with it early) and we expect it everyday. Keep it simple ... one day at a time. Wake up, piss, post roll and honor your promise just for that day. Glad you are here as well. This place is a lifeline, but the choice to stay quit is yours ... make the right choice every day.

Welcome Grizz,

Awesome decision to quit. It is going to suck until it doesn't. It takes 72 hours to get past the physical withdrawal symptoms. After that you are free. It will then become a daily mental battle as you fight the triggers and craves that come up. The oral fixation issues. Suck it up. Build accountability and brotherhood within your quit group. Post your promise not to use nicotine in any form every day. Do not miss even one day. Do not dishonor your promise to yourself and your quit brothers. repeat the next day. Glad you are here.
