Sorry to hear about your health problems JAL.  As one 30+ year user to another - you can do this. The secret is to follow three steps:

1. Post roll first thing in your day - it is your promise not to use nicotine for just today. Don't worry about tomorrow, next month, or forever- just today.

2. Honor that promise

3. Repeat.

Quitting aint easy, but I got to kick it!

I have been dipping for 30+ years, can not even remember how old I was, but it was too young and I was too dumb at the time. I wish I would have stopped when my grandfather found my stash in the late 70's, early 80's. But, I am here today to take it all back. I separated my clavicle and tore all the ligaments. Orthopedic said I needed to quit so my ligaments can heal and my body will produce collagen, did not realize it messed with the collagen. I am on blood pressure meds, cholesterol meds, thyroid meds, and an assortment of other prescriptions; mostly cause I have dipped for so long I am sure. Now I may never get off most of these, but I must try and see if the health can improve slightly. It is going to be a long, long road and from all that I have read all involved are supportive and great to chat with as all have been down the road. Day 2 sucks - bad ass headache and all I can think about is how to fix the crave. I had to actually think of which stores don't sell the shit so I could get gas. I got to change my daily routines so I am less tempted. Out of sight, out of mind....I wish it was out of my mind.....Think I am out of my mind. 'bang head'
It is not mine to reason why, it is to do or die. Doing seems to be the best bet for tomorrow!
