Welcome Bart.

Found this site on my day 4 too. Was in that fog and was looking for anything to get my attention off of the cravings.

As ChoosingIntegrity suggested, drop in the Welcome Center and learn about roll call and why we need the accountability.

Thought I could get by with reading a post or two and just gutting it out, however, getting involved in roll call and getting to know some of the folks around here has helped me kick my 18 year old habit.

You will still have rough moments but you will find that you are not alone.

For now just concentrate on doing one day at a time and stay with us.

Jack

After 30 years it is long past time to quit. I'm starting day 4 clean. My jaws are killing me from all the sunflower seeds and gum but other than that and some bad nights sleeping I'm hanging in.

Started dip back in the late 70s as a young teen. It followed me into the Air Force where I stopped spitting and started swallowing just so I could keep doing it all the way through basic training. Swallowing -- an excuse to be able to dip every waking minute of the day. If I wasn't eating or sleeping, I had a dip.

So here I am.

Glad you're here, Bart. You're quit is already helping me keep mine.

I had 29 years in relationship to The NicBitch before I cut it off. I'm not too far ahead of you at 34 days.

I can tell you that reaching Day 4 is a HUGE accomplishment. The restless nights aren't over yet, but at least the drug is out of your system.

If you navigate your way over to the Welcome Center, you'll find some information on how to post roll etc.

You'll be in the April 2010 group.

It has helped me tremendously knowing I can just come here any ol' time and saunter around. I'd advise staying close to here the next few weeks.

Great choice, Bro! If you're into the game tonight, careful the triggers, prepare for them, and keep the quit!
