Put this in your mind:

Chicks don't dig guys with no bottom jaw. Its that simple. It takes one dip to start the chain reaction to cause cancer. You never know which one. So think to yourself, I want to get laid again. I want to keep my face. I'm a man and I put my word down. I hate the NB. She lied to me. Tried to kill me. I hate UST. They are making profits on killing good folks. I will not stand for it. I will not be a number.

How's that sound?

Thanks for the responses guys. I do have a g/f who I've dated for awhile who is hardcore anti dipping and I no longer live with college guys anymore (who all dipped as well). I think I'm going to post tomorrow because honestly yall piss me off and motivate me just reading this (not sucking up). Again, thanks and it really is motivation seeing how long yall have dipped and quit. Hell, most of yall have dipped longer than I've been alive.

Thanks

John
Don't think, just fucking do it! Take whatever shit you've still got, walk your ass over to the toilet and flush it forever. Once you've done that, go post roll on the November site. If you think you want to quit, you'll fail. If you want to quit, you'll fail. It's a decision...dip/no dip. Very simple.

Every one of us on this site makes that same decision every single day. 99.99% of us give our word and keep that promise to not put any nicotine into our bodies today. If you'll quit today...and I mean absolutely flush that shit...I'll quit with you today. If you come back tomorrow and post roll, I'll quit with you again. One day, just today...that's all we're asking. If you're serious about this, we've got your back. My brothers proved to me just how much they had mine today. If you're ready, I've got yours.

Wolfpack,

First off get the crap out of your mouth while you are on this site!

There is no cutting back. Cold Turkey is the only way. I have been nic free for 31 days after dipping 30 years. You are not an exception to the rule. Quitting is a choice, you either choose to dip or you don't. It's that simple.

When you decide to do it, throw the crap out, post role and committ to yourself and to everyone on this site that you will be nic free for today. We are all here to walk this path together. We will support you and help you in anyway we can.

What to do on car rides, after meals, etc. You find a non-nicotine substitute, gum, candy, sunflower seeds, fake dip, what ever it takes. For me, I eat Jolly Ranchers to keep my mouth busy. I go through fewer candies than I did 31 days ago, so I have faith one day I will be off them as well.

Hopefully you will be joining us soon!

For the past 30 yrs. I continuously had a dip in my lip from the time I woke up until I went to bed, except for at mealtime. Very few people would of ever suspected it, I hide it well! The deception and guilt is over...I'm one stubborn Chick that will never fall victim to the can again!

Wolfpack,
As a newbie to the site but a vet of attempting to quit/cut back I can only speak of my own experience, this website for isn't just about people who aren't using at all but a support group of people who have decided to make a difficult change in their lives. I have played the cutting back game multiple times trying to limit how much and when I used, in the end I said screw it and would go right back to using as much or more as I did. We all have different reasons for wanting to quit but the fact is we are all in this fight together. Welcome to the site look around read some posts and if you make the choice to quit completely join the group with your quit date and post roll everyday. Best thing is no one is here to judge you we are dealing with the same demons. But I will encourage to take the final step and quit it's a bitch but worth it in the end.

After 3 days of being quit the nic is out of your body and then it is all mental....To be quit is a state of mind, where nothing else matters. Where you put your big boy pants on, and fucking go through the suck and tell the bitch to fuck off....Flush your shit, go post roll in November and start on your journey to freedom.....I did 2 cans of Grizz wintergreen a day for 16 years....You are not special...The beginning sucks, but there has to be a beginning...Start right now....I will quit with you today and everyday you are here....You can do this....Take the first step and just fucking do this....

Trying to quit (put this on another post as well)
« on: July 25, 2011, 08:50:00 PM »
Hey guys! I'm 22 just graduated from NC State and have been dipping since I was 15. For about the past 4 years I have dipped Grizzly Wintergreen religiously (3/4-1 can per day). I know this website is for people who aren't using at all but I've tried to cut back over the past week or so and have actually held off pretty well. I'm still having trouble after I eat a big meal or on a break at work. I know this is mostly mental but I really want to quit because I've had grandparents die of tobacco related cancer(lung). Glad to read the comments from everyone on here though. Any suggestions for what to do after the big meals/long car rides/breaks. Thanks a lot.
