I like it. Read the welcome center and start posting role. Navigating this site is a little tough at first but you'll get it. If you're "smart" enough to realize that rubbing orajel on your gums will lessen the pain to chew, you are smart enough to figure out this site.

Stay strong.

Check Walmart. They carry it here in Indiana. Not sure about other states. I'd try Smokey Mnt Wintergreen. It won't bite like your grizzly, but it definitely will help with some of the oral fixation issues. Do whatever it takes those first few days. They suck hard core. But it is the memory of that suck that will keep you from ever wanting to go through it again.
my local walmart didn't carry it; i had to go to a tobacco shop.

Hey bro. I was right there with you just a couple days ago. Taking it a day at a time and am on Day 5. Join our March group as soon as you can. It's not as hard as it sounds. Just go to the Quit Groups forum and find Pre-March quitters. There are instructions on how to post roll there. I've been doing it everyday as soon as I wake up since I joined. It's been working.

Welcome X.
Listen to these guys. They ARE QUIT.
YOU can be quit too.
Deisel and the other brothers care enuff to share the KTC way that has saved their lives.
They don't have to, they just hate the fucking nic bitch like they should.
They see the lies we've been fed all of our lives.
Come on in, the water is fine and the Kool-aid is sweet.
You don't have to be a slave anymore...Take your life back here at KTC.
But, you have to reeeeeaaalllyyyy want to.
You gotta grow a big pair and quit lying to yourself.
Do this for YOU because YOU are really worth it. No matter what the voices say.
It's real easy, but most likely the hardest thing you have ever done in your life.
Post roll
Keep your word
Wake and repeat
Cheers and Happy turkey day.
Keeping my jaw and tongue...I like them.

I hope you don't really think that the first 3 days are going to be bad.

The first 3 weeks are going to be bad.

The first 3 months will likely be bad too.

That's why we quit one day at a time.

I had days were I had to quit one minute at a time. Do what ever you have to do to stay quit. Look very short term for now.
Oh little worm-dirt...you are so scary...F' OFF...!!!

X, if you can't take Diesel's shit, you definitely aren't tough enough to quit. As he says, only you can answer that question. If you decide to make the daily commitment to do so, you've come to the right place. Here you'll find support, coaching and kicks in the ass to correct you when you go astray, not done because we're pricks (well, some of us are) but because we'll be investing in your quit and we all quit together here.

When you're ready, join the March quit group and log in for Roll. That is your promise to quit for the day. Make roll call everyday, and commit to quit each day, one day at a time.

If all your butt buddies jumped off a bridge....

Yeah bro. I'm not gonna sugar coat it. It's gonna suck...for awhile.

How long? Who knows.
How bad? Who knows.
Can you do it? Only you know

Do you WANT it? To me, from.what I've read...no.

I think you want to quit...if it's easy, which it's not. You're already building excuses as to why you might not make it.

Next time you go to the mirror, don't rub orajel on your gums, take a look at the dude staring back at you. Do you see a face of a guy who REALLY wants to quit and is ready ro fight tooth and nail to do so, or do you see a pussy ass bitch who is afraid that the temptation of his wife's e-cig and all your friends smoking is too much for you to handle.

If you really want this, we are here to help you on your journey. If not, the take that orajel and rub it on your balls and continue to hump your precious can.

Up to you, bub.

Welcome to quitting. I'm on Day 27 and it does get better. You will feel better most days and have some occasional bad days. But overall you will continue to improve. The reason to stay here and post roll every damn day is so that you can do it one day at a time and never use nicotine again for any reason. As far as those around you who smoke and chew, you can only encourage them so much. They won't quit unless they want to. But 20 some days from now you will start feeling sorry for them, you will feel superior, stronger. You will gain confidence and your mind will sharpen. You will be understanding of them for they are addicts and users, and you are an addict, but one who is no longer a user. You could lead the way for your wife. She could decide to kick nic to the curb simply because of your success. Success is contagious. Stay strong and quit every day brother.

Welcome X; listen, read, post roll, keep your word, concentrate on now not the past or the future and brave yourself for a 'wee little bit of hell'. If this 40+ year addict can do it so can you.

I am on Day 7 today and it was just about as bad as Days 1-3. Days 4-6 were not so bad. I don't think it will ever be a walk in the park. I do think it will get better and cravings will be less strong. You are entering what they call the SUCK around here and it has that name for a reason. Take it day to day or minute to minute if needed. Don't worry about the future, worry about the now, survive the now. Get some seeds, gum and smokey mountain herbal dip to get you through. If you need digits, shoot me a PM be happy to help. Stay the Course!

I have dipped grizzley mint for 6 years now at one point I was three cans a day I've cut back to 1 can every day in a half. Yesterday I woke up and started my routine put get my son ready for school put in a dip start a pot of coffee. This time though I realized my gums didn't get that sting or that tingely feeling no they hurt so I moved it for it to hurt more in that spot I shifted it to the other side and still hurt so I removed it and went to the bathroom to investigate. Yah I had some soars nothing new my first thought was just lay off for a few days then I thought to myself no I can just put some oral gel on my gums then I won't feel it. That's what I did and I exhausted the rest of my can 4 hours later. I came home for lunch and forgot to pick up another can and all I could think about is that I'm so addicted I will numb my gums in order to not lay off that's when I decided I was done today makes my first day my cravings have started and been chewing gum like its going outta style. I came across this site and seems like a lot of good support. I'm worried my wife uses an ecig and all my friends smoke I don't but if I crave it bad enough I might looks like my first three days are gunna be rough.

Going through same things just finished day 1 for my quit today.

All I can say is it will suck and it will be hard but leverage the resources here, (the hall of fame speeches really help keep you motivated) talk to your brothers and join your quit group.

I went through a whole bag of seed today trying to get through my day 1. I made it through and so can you.
