Nice start to the plan,

now tack on a few items of what you will do when that huge crave hits (and they usually do and will come out of no where). Take a look in my intro, its got a plan that I spent close to a year developing.

Keep strong, keep smart, keep quit

Welcome my new friend, great way to make that decision to be quit. Remember that quitting is a lifestyle. Incorporate the quit into your day.

Give your word. Read a little to gain the information and to become wise. And with that yes, be here for others but I do say not because they may be weak, but think of it more that they are all smart when turning to others for help. Nicotine being the most addictive product on earth is not easy to beat, but with making friends and family and joining together in this battle, we are smart and can control this day to day, which is all we can ask for.

So get ready as you will be on an up and down ride over the next months, get into chat and yell at us there (and not to the family at home).

yell if you need anything
Hey man, all the stuff above. Continue to frame your life like you WANT it to be (without the nic and in control, etc., etc., etc.) These guys ^^^^^ have all been there, and so have I, just take it one day at a time (ODAAT) and snuff that bitch out for today. When you win that battle, pound her in the ass tomorrow 'BanDog'

Eventually you'll be like, damn this easier than a lubricated shocker . You've got this bro. Quit with you today.

Joe/John/PsyMjr,.

Dude are you ever in the right place....you thought the Corps had Accountability? Like NOTHING you've seen...just read through the September roll pages and you'll see what accountability is.

The Sultans of September (that's the month where we collectively hit the 100 day mark (pretty big milestone) are one awesome group of quitters, and they will definitely hold your feet to the fire.

Saw where you posted roll today...that is a key ingredient. Your word, your bond, telling yourself and the brotherhood/sisterhood you won't use today. Next, read up (as much as you can on this site) on what will be the SUCK that envelopes your life over the next week or more...need to find a way to remember just how crappy it was as your body detoxes and your brain rewires....(which continues for weeks/months even AFTER you're physically nicotine free). Finally, build a support group...plenty of names on the September roll to choose from!!

We're all in this boat together, just some have been rowing longer than others. Proud to quit with you today; Semper FI. (Go find DaveKnight or DevilDog...they speak Hoo-Rah....)

R,
JDW

Welcome PsyMjr! You've got the right attitude. Read the Welcome Center and post roll everyday. It's not easy but with the support of KTC you can do it.

« on: June 20, 2014, 06:02:00 PM »
Hello all,

My name is John, but I go by Joe, (my friends call me Joe).
I started chewing Copenhagen while in the Marine Corp. It helped pass the time. 23 years later, Im still chewing. This is my first day without chewing. It's 2:45, and I want a chew, But NO FUCKING WAY!!!! Why continue to make some corporate fat cat rich at the cost of my face and life. I take my life back NOW!!! FUCK YOU US Tobacco Company take your shit and stuff it!!!!

I have a wife and a little boy, and I also have one cancer scare under my belt. Doctor told me the white lump in my lip was a mouth pimple. I thank god for the chance to stop. Better yet, One way or the other, I will quit chewing.

I am currently preparing for grad school for psychology, I am a Freemason, working my way to the 32nd degree, and I love my family.

As a US Marine I promise to ME I will NEVER Place that Poison in my mouth ever again, I will swear to be hear for the weak and for the strong for as long as I may live. I love you all, Never Give UP !!!! SEMPER FI 'biggun'
