Ryan,

lets all lean on one another, hell from what I have seen here in my 1 week is not leaning but more of jumping on and in your face for one another, but it is a quit, one day at a time as a group and being there for one another to chat.

see ya posting for October, and I'll quit with ya.

be another nail in the coffin, one each day and one per person and we will bury this all in our past.

I just quit 4 days ago after 25 years of dipping.  July 3rd my little girls b-day.  I stumbled onto this site tonight while searching the internet to figure out what was going on with the aches, pains, sores, etc. in my jaw, tounge, and face.  None of this was happening until I quit so I hope it is just withdrawl.  I have not been chewing a lot of gum or eating salty seeds, mainly just hard candy.  Also, found a white sore on the back of my throat the day I quit (did 3 days of 2 dips of about 10 minutes each before actually going cold turkey, so withdrawl had already started).  Anyway, this looks like a great site.  I have never posted a single thing in a forum in my life but this looks like a group of people who dedicated to helping each other.  I've spent about the last hour and a half reading articles and posts.  Thanks to whoever started this and to all you guys that keep it going long after you have "killed the can."  I have tried many times to quit but this time I will succeed.
Hey everyone I smell a quitter!! Ryan everything you said is right on. Check your inbox I'm sending you my number
Sold! Ryan welcome to shitville. You sound like you want this and you are done. Family, friends, work, health can be good influencers to quit but you have to be selfish and be the one driving the quit.

You will have times when you are alone. When you quit for you, you will fight the hardest in those moments vs. just sneak one last time.

It sucks to go through detox and it is a taxing journey. I loved the pain and the journey. Today is 116 days nic free.

Remember that your freedom from vice is worth the horrible days ahead of you. Stay close and get support. Check your in box. My number is there when you need a friend to fight along side you.

If you are off work this weekend, stay on the site and read, write and vent.
