Hi everyone,

I have been off the "can" for 9 days now.  The first three days were rough, very rough.

I have quit before but I alway fall prey to "Just One" before I know it I am back at a can a day.

I guess the biggest obstacle for me to over come is the Just One syndrom.

The Article posted on the site help and I understand that this is one day at a time.

I promised my self that I would not even consider having another dip unto my daughter goes to college.

Given that she is only six weeks old, I have some time before I at least consider having another dip.

I did quit for me, but only because dipping was starting to interfer with my parenting responsiblities.

I guess I just needed to express my reasons to someone.

Thanks for reading.

Shammy, make this quit for Good, not for 18 years. Take it 1 day at a time and get in the Feb. group. They are a kick ass group and will give you all the support you need. I am on day 85 and I am determoned NOT to fall for the 1 dip can't hurt this time either. PM if you need a phone # for emergencies. Enjoy the ride

I have fallen prey to the 'just one dip won't hurt thought' as well. I am sure alot of us have in the past. This quit is different for me. I have quit and will stay quit. You need to make up your mind and either quit or not quit. You said that you won't dip until your daughter goes to college. This gives you an out. I know it will be 18 before she goes to college but shit or get off the pot already.

9 days put you in the Feb quit group. If you are serious about quitting (I hope that you are) get in there and post roll. Everyone in there will help out tremendously. We all have and some (including myself) are going through what you are going through right now. I am on day 26. I hope this helps and I hope that you stay quit.
Everybody loves a quitter!
