Hello, I'm 31 years old today, and after 15 years with the can (Cope Long-Cut), I decided to start my quit today! I know its going to be a long road, but with determination, this sites help, and most important "Gods Help", I'll be able to kick this habit in the ass. I am currently married to my wonderful wife of nine years, and I have a 2 years/3months old son. I have alot to live for and tired of being a slave to the can.

i chewed on and off after highschool and after getting a job at a refinery for the last 2 1/2 years i have created an addiction to chewing. With this came lying to my wife about it several times. Im only 23 and i know now is the time to kick it . I have quit a few times but never really commited fully. I just tried to do cold turkey and this time i am looking for fellow quiters for support. My wife is supportive but its difficult because she has never smoked or chewed or really had a bad habbit for her health for that matter. Anyways i am excited to kick this habbit for good and any support out there is more than welcome.
thanks
Welcome to the site...welcome to your quit. One year ago today I sttod in your shoes. On this day last year I threw down the can in order to "save my marriage." A year later, my marriage is gone, but I still have my quit...and my kids are much more likely to still have their dad around for a much longer time.

I tell you this in order to remind you to quit for you...stay quit for yourself - no matter what shit life may hand you. YOU have to be resolute in your quit....YOU have to have integrity...to yourself and all those on this site that you make a promise to quit with.

Know that most of the people an this site will go out of their way to support you in your quit - as much as can be done by complete strangers. Make sure you make contacts, have a quit plan, get numbers and make sure others have your number.

If you want this...if you really want to be (and stay) quit, this is yours.
Blah...Blah...Blah...You keep TALKIN....I'll keep QUITTIN

I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to support YOUR quit.
