Yea, the ol' fake piss ploy - It just dawned on me that I had used that one so many times my wife actually suggested I go to the doctor for over active bladder syndrome once. 'course I was wrapped up in a nic haze having gotten my weed fix - made some comment about an armor clad walnut sized bladder to make way for the man sized ball sack. I think she actually knew what was going on.

Kicking nic's ass one day at a time. I lol'ed at the restaurant fake piss...did that a few times myself. I also used to go "water the lawn" too.

I fucking love living nic free...the withdrawals are nothing compared to freedom.

Stay strong, stay quit!!!

Remember every second of what you are going through. It will serve you well later on when you think everything is all good.

Great work so far. Keep it going.

What has become more amazing than anything, is realizing how pervasive chewing was in my life. Going to a restaurant last night and not having to fake a pee just to get a dip was great, then sitting at the table and wondering if I got the dip too fast - now desert was comming - shit, another pee or just eat through it. I always put the dip in the upper lip - not as much spit, hid better, little trick we learned at Army Basic to keep the DI from rippin' ya, and sometimes you could just eat talk and drink while killin' yer self.

Told my Bro-in-Law last night, roll up a big "Cold Turkey" Sandwitch and take a bite - you will never look back. All the bullshit planning and hiding will be done and gone.

Day 3 fog is almost gone - no head ache. Looking forward to the rest of a dip free life.

Day 3 - long road trip with the family to a football game last night. Definitely one of the times I would choose to dip the most. Held fast and no dip. I am kicking nic bitch ass right now.

Fog clearing up a little today. Thanks for all the words of support - this site is great.

Lee:

Good job on the decision to quit. Also, way to remain active in the quit...post roll every day, get numbers, talk with the people on here, let them know what's going on with you...read what's going on with them...The more active you stay, the better your overall outcome with this quit will be...Stay strong, brother.

This site is great - with every story I read I know I came to the right place. Positive attitude. My wife wanted me to get the patch and what not - decided to go cold turkey - did not make much sense to keep adding N to the system when quitting - gotta break the chain.

Consider it broken. This sucks but I am going to finish it.

Failure is not an option.

Thats the right choice and the best choice. Welcome to the quit. Its gonna be a wild ride!
Quit with extreme prejudice...

I wanted to check on you...I know the fog is thick right now. I don't think I slept at your stage. I'm just a little ahead of you (Day 30). The funk you're in right now will lighten up.

You can beat this. Stay on this website and read everything you can. The pain is your body kicking nicotine's ass.

Just focus on "Yesterday + 1." Post roll everyday, promise that WILL NOT CAVE, and keep your word.

We're all in this together...some are a little further, some are just beginning. But we have all gone through, or will go through, what you're feeling now. Embrace it, fight back, stay quit.

WE can do this!!!

Howdy,

My name is Lee - I just quit on Saturday October 10, 2010 at 5:00PM - foggy as hell the first day, sleeping well, eating well - think I am gonna make it.  Chewing on  cinnamon altoids to keep the mental fix going.

Lee C
Lee,

A little change in the vocabulary, we don't think you will do it, you will do it. We don't try anything around here we get it done. Read everything you can, there is some great stuff out there. If you need help, let someone know.
klark is right. You have to have the right attitude. You've already made your mind up to quit. That's it, you've quit. Now you just HAVE to keep your daily promise to remain quit. There's no trying, there's only doing. If you need a number, PM me.
Stay Alive! Stay Quit!!!

A promise not kept is the road to exile.

If quitting is cool, consider me Myles Davis.

Unless you bring value onto my 1/2 acre, I don't want to hear it.
