Best I can determine this guy has quit on his quit. He hasn't posted roll in quite a few days and won't return my texts or PMs. I hate to say I saw it coming, but I did. He was always late to post roll, and towards the end didn't always post his days quit number.

I got after him telling him he needed to post roll early, and make sure he listed his days quit. That everything we do here serves a purpose, but I guess he figured he knows best.

So I have failed in my first attempt as a "quit Sherpa". But this won't affect my quit any. Only shows me the importance of the routine and accountability. And pisses me off that I wasted my efforts on an apathetic, know it all, p.o.s......

It's real simple, post each day, keep the promise, and embrace the suck and never forget it.

The nic bitch is the only reason why i still hang around this shithole, she's the only one that makes it not so simple  .

Yeah that's a pretty incredible offer. STM you fucking rock bro. "Quit Sherpa" good stuff.

Capn jump on that shit. Take advantage while you can.
You can't buy that kind of support, capt.
SouthTexasMan = One bad-ass Quitter.

This is not a deal you want to leave on the table my friend. Look at all of the support you've already got in your corner...and it's only just begun!

Keep posting those days up there and we'll keep on jiggling our tits for ya. Figuratively speaking of course. Well, except for maybe Sco, he's known to get a little swirly.

You've promised not to put that crap in your face today.

I take that very seriously; we all do.

you got this.

Ok Capt...here's how it works...at least this is my perspective 24 days in. I don't know anything about you personally other than what you have shared, and neither do any of the other folks here on KTC, but EVERYONE here will be an unquestionable source of support and inspiration if you don't fuck us. And what I mean by that is your ONE obligation is to post roll here (ie, add your name in the appropriate quit group as a 'quitter') every day. By doing that you are making a promise to yourself and to the rest of us that YOU WILL NOT USE ANY FORM OF NICOTINE FORT HAT DAY. It's that simple. Then all you have to do is keep your promise. That's how you 'don't fuck us.' Cave like a pussy that's not willing to be accountable for their own actions and you fuck us, and there will be retaliation.

I'm 33 and chewed for 18 years with a bunch of quit-fails along the way. It never stuck because I wasn't really committed and I know that now. When I Googled 'quit dipping' and this site showed up I was immediately intrigued. I'm not a 'blogger,' so I was a little intimidated at first, add the language and the hardcore attitude to it and this has the potential to be a pretty volatile place. But everyone is here to make sure that they don't chew...just for today...and to make sure that there's a system of accountability for those that desire a structure like that to help them stay clean.

Get on the other side of the fog and the rage (use the chat room for the rage, it works wonders). Get free of the grasp of the nic bitch. The other side of this shit is soooooooo much better. Your body will adjust, regardless of how bad you think it is, and your brain will readjust too. The faster you can REALLY, REALLY, REALLY come to grips with the fact that YOU ARE QUIT the sooner your brain will straighten itself out. Rely on this great group of people here from all walks of life. We all have your back and understand what you're going through.

Every day I post roll I thank God for the internet and the ability to do so....then I remember I have a 4 year old daughter and the internet becomes the devil again, lol.

Welcome to September 2011, PM (private message) me if you need anything.

Does "serious tone" mean you quit with the passion of a 1000 burning suns? That's the kind of quit I like.

Glad to hear you are quitting for yourself. As admirable as it is to quit for the ones you love, I think quitting for yourself is important. Make your way through the Welcome Center.

Welcome to the quit. Reach out when you need to brother.

Welcome Cap'n glad to have you along on the road to freedom and it is great to see that you posted roll today. You got a big old quitting family that is fighting the same battle as you and is willing to support you.

Welcome Captnplanet,

Here is an overview of the program:

1. Post Roll- this is not your "status", this is a promise to everyone here that you will not use nicotine for Today, Just today. Post roll first thing in your day-no excuses.

2. Honor that promise - no excuses

3. Wake up tomorrow and repeat steps 1 and 2.

Nicotine is not a habit, it is an addiction. Big tobacco has carefully crafted their product so that you would become addicted. You are going to go through pretty intense withdrawals over the next 2-3 days as nicotine leaves your system. Never forget these days and know that you never have to go back through them again.

Glad to be quit with you,

30

Hello Everyone,

In the last fifteen minutes I have decided to take a serious tone about quitting snuff. I have made half-ass attempts many times to please family and friends. Today though I am quitting for me. Not for my fiance, my family, or my friends. I need to be responsible for my own well being and kick this habit. Consider this a pledge to begin my march to one hundred days and beyond. Being new to the site I would appreciate any help to guiding me with navigation and understanding the whole process.
