Nicotine's the enemy, Al. The fake stuff works to get a lot of folks through. Some still use it years later. It is infinitely better then tobacco without a chemical dependence. Keeping the cat turds out of your yam is the important thing. Sugerless gum, water and exercise could be just as effective. Whatever it takes seems to be the general consensus.

To make this your last quit check out the welcome center and make ktc your homepage for awhile. Shout if you have any other questions.

Hey Alpine, congrats on four days free that is HUGE! Each and every day it gets a bit easier. I'm on day 47 and still use the fake stuff once or twice a day-- everyone will have differing opinions on it, but Im a big believer in fake snuff. And like you said, there is zero nicotine in it so why worry! I wouldn't worry about weaning off the fake so early into your quit, because the brutal honesty is that you have a long way to go.. So use that fake dip as one of your weapons against what we like to call "the nic bitch," or nicotine. I hope you take the time to read all of the wonderful supplementary information this site has to provide. Start with the Welcome Center, and then go over to Pre-HOF May 2015 and post your day 5 tomorrow- take the plunge and get active! You don't want to do this alone, trust me! Meet new addicts just like you and chat them up about withdrawals or whatever you are experiencing in your quit. You can do this.

So today is day 4 of not dipping tomorrow morning will be day 5. i feel i'm doing good how ever! I have been using that Smokey Mountain herbal snuff, Kinda of worried cause it's not that bad and i enjoy it. And if i can't dip the real stuff replacing my old habit with this is it just as bad? Or should i be trying to get rid of the fake snuff as well?

I'm not trying to replace my old habit with with this fake snuff, how ever i do enjoy it even if i'm not getting the nic from it and even if its not real tobacco? Just curious if i should try to avoid this stuff as well? I have 0 wants for the real stuff just not sure how safe this stuff is obviously its safer then the real stuff.
