Gator it really doesn't matter what you say about nicotine, I've been there! I've been an addict as long as you've been alive and seen it all. Patches, gum or any other form of nicotine is still feeding you addiction. When I flushed my last thee cans and went cold turkey with these crazy quitters is when my journey of freedom finally began. Rip the band aid (patch) off and begin the healing!

Been there Done That....... Back in the day, those old cans would usually just amount to 1/4 dip of wax!

Burn that Boat Gatorboy.......Gear up, and welcome to an army that is committed every day to beat the lying BS NIC B*#CH!

We do that shoulder to shoulder making daily promises that we will not touch nicotine for the next 24 hour.

So damn....... put some armor on that bear! And get in here and fight! EDD ODAAT.

Just quit. Started with Nicoderm CQ step 1. The first 2-weeks of a possible 6-week, 3-step plan. I decided that I didn't want to rely on a patch either, so I finished the 14 days at 21 mg. Now, I'm like a naked, shaved bear standing in the friggin' alpine mountains wondering who the hell I am and where is my fix?

I think I could personally identify with 90% of the list of Top 100 Benefits of Quitting. One thing I would add.....I actually dug through the back of my truck (where I threw the old dip cans) and recovered about 70 "dead soldiers" (no offense to real soldiers.) I used my finger to scrape whatever was left in all 70 or so of those cans to get about 1/4 of a dip. It was either that, or knock myself unconscious. This event actually happened twice in some of my previous attempts at quitting.

I'm done this time. So far, so good. What gets me every time is the gold ole "...heck, that wasn't hard. I'll reward myself with just one dip and then I'll throw away the rest of it." That is the devil in the details! You cannot have just one! It is a lie you tell yourself.
