I also was a white color worker - I was the VP of Technology for a Fortune 500 company. Dipped for over 40 years.

Congrats on making the best decision for yourself. Fight for your freedom.

Welcome to the group.

Welcome to the group. Here are some words of wisdom I like to share:

The main way to be successful is to just decide that you have quit. Once you stop the negotiating in your head as to whether you will do one more or not the rest becomes far more simple.

The next important thing is to learn how to distract your attention. When you get those thoughts about dipping, switch your attention and think about something else. Anything else that you like. This ability to change your focus will guarantee your success and make your quit that much easier.

When you place a dip in your mouth, your brain releases sugars. Well, those sugars are now going to be gone.

However, you can replace them with OJ or other fruit juices with sugar. This will provide some comfort, especially on your initial quit days.

Make sure to exercise with weights and cardio when you feel that nagging tension in your muscles, you feel that rage, when you can not sleep and when you cannot focus. Exercise really helps.

Here is one that most people overlook. Get at least 3 square meals a day. Hunger can really bring on those urges so squash those urges before they come. Eat full healthy meals and do not let yourself get excessively hungry. You will see this helps a great deal.

I waited until I was 59 quit after using tobacco for 40 years. You are wise to quit now.

I quit with you today.

Hi everyone. Been 37 years for me. Started buying Cope at 12 at the local grainery. Been using Cope pouches since college and having white collar job. Had one in from the time I woke up until I went to bed. Probably used about 1 can a day. Smoked a few years in early 20s but never really enjoyed like Cope. I’ve quit a few times over the years for a month or a year but never really stuck. It’s time to quit for good & with motivation from y’all & KTC I know it’s possible. It’s day 3, cold turkey & feeling pretty good. Fog & irritably are here but I can deal. Heading to Europe in a couple days for work and they don’t sell Cope there! Get back in mid April & hopefully the fog will be behind me. Appreciate everything this site and the members are doing for all of us.

Welcome to the BEST site on the MF Internet my friend.

I have always had a hard time trying to quit until I found KTC. The members hold YOU accountable.

Wake up every morning and post roll to your quit group pre-HOF Class. I believe you'll be in June. Hopefully, some of the Vets steered you in the right way most of them are great!

I'm going to PM my digits to you and trust me when I say getting numbers will make or break your quit. I know it might feel awkward but it's well worth it when you're in the local gas station asking for a can...

Welcome in and congrats on the decision to quit.  When you wake up tomorrow you will have that decision to make again.  Join your quit group and get your promise to be nicotine free on the roll call early every day.  Dig in, and stay on here for motivation...
