Welcome Chaffinl,

Same here, and for the last three weeks or so I am lucky if I get 3-4 hours of sleep per night. This was obviously compounding the dip rage and I felt so sorry for the folks around me sometimes. So I broke down and went to the Doc and he gave me a few days of pills to try and get my sleep pattern back on track. They have helped and for the last three nights I have slept at least 6 hours per night. I don’t want to trade one problem for the next so I may see how it goes tonight without the sleep pill. I have heard that melatonin is a good alternative to Dr. prescribed stuff. Feel free to reach back out if you need help or have more questions, Judaculla

Welcome Chaffinl,

Same with me.  You are not alone.  I have to get up at 3:45 am for work.  Go to bed at 8pm up at midnight for the rest of the night with jaw pain.  I just started taking zoloft and gabapentin to help but so far no bueno.  Post Roll.  I chewed for 23 years.

Hey group I'm new to this group.
A little about me. I am 56 yrs old as of last week. I've been chewing since I was 15/16. I was at a Boy Scout camp sitting around a fire when an older gentleman offered me some chew. Levi Garrett. From then off and on for over 40 years. I've tried several times to quit. The longest I've gone is 6 months.

I have been tobacco free since July 28th

The big thing right now is it is effecting my sleep. I get may 3 hours or less per night. This happened when I tried to quit about 8 months I was working. So I gave in this time I've had the last week and a half off. Has this happened to anyone else? How can beat this. I'm ready give in so I can get some sleep.
Welcome chaffinl, you have come to the right place. Quitting is hard to do alone, but with the help of all the folks here you can do this. We hold each other accountable, and support and encourage each other. If you follow the program here you will succeed. All we ask is that you post roll first thing everyday making a promise not to use nicotine and keep that promise.
I recommend getting plenty of exercise, it will help with the sleeplessness and will keep you distracted when you are craving. Also be sure to drink lots of water.
Quit date: September 25, 2016
HOF date: January 2, 2017
Comma date: June 21, 2019

Become as addicted to your quit as you were to nic.
