100 down today! My worst nic addiction to the cancer stick started with a much needed break from work. After working 12 hour shifts you need to take some necessary breaks in the day and I spent my time smoking one or two sticks at a time. Next thing I knew I was buying a pack a day and then a carton a month. I told my supervisors and my friends that smoking was the excuse that I used in order to take my break and get some fresh air. It wasn't a total lie but my body always told me that I needed some tobacco.
My journey started with a week. Then two weeks and a month. The first couple of weeks were the hardest. Honestly surprised that I was able to make it without slipping. My biggest thanks goes out to my brother and best friend
@A-Aron . Early on in January he gave me a call and told me that decided to quit tobacco and start a new lifestyle. He did it for his family and I decided then and there that I would support him and quit for my brother. There were times I knew I would have caved but I reached out to him and he was able to talk me through some of my biggest challenges and walls in life. I want to thank his family because they also played a big part in my quit as well. Hearing them run around and cause a fuss in the background helped me remember why he decided to quit which solidified the reason that I wanted to quit.
I also want to thank those on the KTC forum and the Kai that I talked with and listened to my shit talking!
@Bug Guy Thanks for putting up with the most shit and giving the most shit back! You were the first one to reach out to me on the site and I am glad to have been through this with you.
My badass quitters and apologies if I left anyone out.
@Athan @rvwade04 @A-Aron @Bug Guy @MuleMan @AAA @jack_smiff1 Without this great community I know that I definitely would not have made this first 100 days. I am truly thankful for those that I have met on the site. Your stories and support helped me get to where I am today. Here is to the rest of my life quit with you all. Cobra Kai! Strike first, strike hard, and NO MERCY!
