Thanks Keith and Exbear.  One day at a time!  I will do the roll calls and keep at it.
Cheers!
Welcome, Sweetblue. Very glad you put down the pouch and joined us here at KTC. The vets' quit wisdom is unsurpassed, yet everyone's quit is a little different. You found it in yourself to stay quit this long; now stay quit for one more day. You can do anything you set your mind to for one minute, one hour, one day. Focus, and be free.

Your September group is full of people just like you. Get in there, trade digits, and be accountable to them as they will be to you. Accountability + Brotherhood = Success.

Stay hard, and stay quit.

Hi,
I am new KTC and am on day 35.   I quit on June 22 after chewing for almost 40 years.  I had quit twice prior with nicotine gum and failed.  I am nicotine free cold turkey.   So far I am having a lot of the typical symptoms that others have.  I am using smokey mountain and taking it one day at a time.
I am sweetblue, named after my dog blue that died of cancer at only 7.5 years old on June 17.  She was really brave and inspired me to quit so am channeling her courage. Anxiety is my biggest enemy right now, but I was also having it before I quit.  Thinking this from the COVID world we live in.

Everyday I am trying to have courage, become mentally and physically stronger and fighting back on the demons.  The positive progress is my mouth and gums are better and I have more strength and energy from better circulation.
Cheers-  Blue
Welcome @sweetblue   Click on the link and start posting roll in your group - September 2020 group  https://ktcforum.org/index.php?topic=16478.0  .  We wake up, piss, and post our promise first thing to stay nicotine free for the day. Keep your word and repeat the process the following day. Only worry about today. We will deal with tomorrow when it gets here. Suggest you make some connections with fellow quitters in your September group and vets as well. Brotherhood + accountability = success. Your body will be going through an adjustment for a period of time. Drink lots of water, get some daily exercise, think about gum, seeds or fake dip as a substitute and remember it will get better. Shoot me a message if I can help at all. You can do this and we are here to help. Pretty impressive going 35 days on your own. But just so you know, you didn’t quit before. You had a stoppage. Quitting only has to be done once.

Welcome aboard @sweetblue.  Keith preaches the truth and is an honest and trustworthy fellow quitter.  If you need someone to lean on, he's a great choice.  However, this is a battle between you and you. We will always be here to help but you need to want it.  Take it slow.  Do what you need to do to get to the end of the day.  WUPP and repeat.  Not easy but simple.  Stack days and it gets progressively less sucky.  PM me if you need some extra support.
