Pilgrim - here's a link to the October quit group in case you're having trouble finding it.

Get on over there and post roll. Roll is our way of promising each other that we will not have nicotine for the day. We post roll every day here. Our system is pretty simple. Wake up, post roll, and keep your word for the day. Then, the next day, do it all over again.

Here's a video to help you understand how to post roll: Posting Roll on KTC Kill the Can

Don't be afraid of doing something wrong... the only real way to screw up posting roll is to not do it. Get on over to October, post roll, and get quitting with a bunch of fellows who know exactly where you are and will walk that road to freedom from nicotine with you.

Well howdy pilgrim (sorry, I was channeling John Wayne for a moment...)

Welcome to KTC! Cold turkey is the method of quit here - the KTC community does not tolerate members posting who are on nicotine replacements like nic gum, patches, vapes, etc. However, non-nicotine "fake" dip is definitely okay to use - and encouraged, even, if it serves to help you satisfy those oral cravings you will undoubtedly face. If you go to the "Your Quit" tab, then to "Smokeless Alternatives" you will even find reviews there.

This is going to sound overly simplistic, but it is the truth: You don't TRY to quit. You just do it. It is easy: You just stop putting dip in your lip. Sure, you will feel crappy at first - you may feel foggy and irritable and you will have to push through some craves - but you won't die. And you can definitely do it - because all of us have and we are no different than you.

Sometimes the hardest part is just taking the first step. The fear is real but the fear is also irrational. There is nothing to fear. So just go over to October 2017 Pre-HOF and put your name on the list with a Day 1. Don't give yourself time to think - just do it. NOW. And let's get on with this once and for all!

And PM for anything.
Just one and you will be back to where you started, and where you started was desperately wishing you were where you are now.

Hi Guys

Hi Guys, just wanted to say hello and that I hope this forum might help me quit dipping.

I was looking at dip alternatives when I ran across this forum, so, curious what the general consensus is concerning cold turkey versus using alternatives (i.e., mint dip, etc.).
