Thank you gentlemen! Finishing the day as I promised. No nicotine, no substitutes, just my will, my wife and everyone in this group who has reached out in support. Did I have cravings? Yes. I even started getting hot and cold flashes, but just as the Legend of Hercules enduring the 12 Labors, I too will endure my Labors, however many there may be, and defeat the monster within.
There are going to be a lot of days in the beginning where you simply have to grit your teeth and make it through the day. But every time your head hits that pillow at night you will be able to chalk up another day. There will be ups and downs, but in general every day you put between you and your quit date will be a day closer to the heaven of not craving the crap.

I dipped twice as long as you (28 years), so I know exactly what you are going to experience. It stinks and you will think that you won't ever enjoy doing anything anymore without a dip in. Let me tell you that that is a lie. It takes s long time, and it's a slow fade, but you will indeed get to a point where you rarely think of it.

You should know that most people don't make it to 100 days. I wanted you to know that, not to scare you off, but to get you to strengthen your resolve for a rough but very rewarding, and potentially life-saving journey.

March of 2017 stands with you, brother!

Crossing my fingers, praying to God and hoping all of your support will help me in my struggle to come.

I'm 32, married with 2 beautiful children under 4years old. I have been using for 13 years and tonight I used it for the last time. I have officially quit usage. Tomorrow is a new day and a new chapter in my life.

I hope and pray everyone here can and will be my support in this journey to come. I am thankful there is a group like this available to guide and support people such as myself.

I look forward to gaining new friendships with each of you along the way as well.

Thank you all and may we all succeed in this journey together.
George, welcome.

You got yourself on roll, and that is a great start. In fact, that is how you need to start every single day - by posting roll and giving your word you won't succumb to nicotine today.

Crossing your fingers implies quitting takes luck. It doesn't. Praying to God implies a higher power is in control of your quit. It isn't.

Everything you need to quit and stay that way is already within you; but you did nail the part about getting support for the struggle to come. That's where this place shines exceptionally well. As long as you are posting your word and keeping it, there will be more support for you here than a single person could ever want or need. Listen to your brothers here, heed their advice, and use all of the tools available to you as you settle into your new life without nicotine.

Trust me, it's worth more than you can possibly conceive right now. Just bear down and focus on being quit today.
Welcome to the new you. It takes determination to be a quitter. Stop crossing your fingers and just say to yourself "I'm a quitter". I said it almost 4 years ago still say it today. Keep on roll, make new friends, and be involved in here. Remember that we all were where you are today. We quit for today then quit again tomorrow.

I always find the holidays stressful, so quitting before T-Day takes balls! We don't hope we quit here, we just quit EDD (Every damn day).

Welcome to KTC.

This is the place that you will be coming to everyday from here on out. Let me tell you something about me. I am an addict. I will always be an addict, and so will every one on this site. Now, welcome to our site full of addicts that have gotten their lives together. This is a sacred site to me. Especially because I have friends on here that know exactly what I was going through because they were doing it at the same time I was.

Here's what you should do. Make sure that you have thrown away all of the garbage in the tin can, and go post Day 1 HERE. You will be part of the March group.

If you trust in KTC it will help you. The vets and the people on here will help you to the best of their ability. Why? Because we have been there and we know how bad it is at first. Check your inbox, members will be sending you their numbers to hold each other accountable. That's my best advice. Get each others numbers and make sure everyone is accountable. Brotherhood, accountability, success.

Welcome man,

Great choice to utilize KTC. Your next couple days are going to be rough. Drink lots of water , have gum/seeds, something to help with that fixation. Understand we have all gone through it with a day by day choice. What I mean by that is you find your quit group and post roll in the morning. By posting roll you are promising not to use any form of nicotine product for the entire day. This is a promise to your entire group and yourself. This quit has to be for you. I'm on day 27 and can't imagine not having the accountability KTC gives me. You have to own this quit and understand that roll is serious. It's not a game. Take your quit as serious as anything else in your life. You can private message anyone if you need help by sending numbers. It's good to have that help once you start to know your group.

I quit with you.
