You posting in a quit group man? Not sure if October 16 is still open for business or not. I'm taking a wild guess you would fall under October. November should be starting REAL soon.
Either way, a quit group can and will really help. It builds a network of support for you even when you are not on site. You exchange numbers with other quitters going through exactly what you are going through. They are your lifeline in a pinch. I know, exchanging digits with perfect strangers is madness! But caving and catching cancer and dieing is even more madness for your loved ones that have to deal with their loss.
When the cravings hit, pound the holy hell out of some water. Eat some sun flower or pumpkin seeds. Use smokey mountain or hooch. What ever you need to to stay quit. There is NEVER an excuse to cave. Im sure you know, but here is a reminder. A cave is ANY nic use at all. Stogies are the hang up for some. Oh I didn't know I couldn't have a cigar. DUHH! Not inhaling is NOT an excuse. No patches, lozenges or anything.
Exercise like hell, well as much as you can. Walk, run, jog, do what you need to to take your mind off of it. IF you have some support going, stare it right in the face and say fuck you nic!
But man, the most important thing you have to do, and I am NOT saying forever, I am only saying for today, is post roll. Post your promise to not use nicotine today. Just for today. We can worry about tomorrow, tomorrow. Alll we ask is for today. It helps keep you accountable. When you are not on roll, your quit brother will, or should come looking. And you will do the same for them. It all boils down to accountability. What if you never had to account for ANYTHING in your life, how would your life be today? Hmmmmm. So yeah, posting roll is VERY important. I know some of it all sounds silly at first, but it works.
So if you have not, jump on in and give it a shot man. What have you got to loose? You just might gain some freedom and less stress and anxiety in your life. The nicotine is hurting you even if you don't know it. Raises stress and anxiety, blood pressure, makes it harder to heal up cuts scrapes and surgery, etc etc.
Anyhow, got to run for now man. Need further support? Jump on in, Uhhhhh oops I fgorgot you said you quit 7 months ago, group.
take care.
