Oh hell.....I missing the nic gum comment.

These guys know what they are talking about. Just fucking dump it and get on with quitting.
This group is nicotine free. You can be nicotine free and really nicotine quit right NOW, no more of the poison. 3 days withdrawal. Then you can CHOOSE to be tobacco free 1 day at a time. If you still use nicotine you can't be free of nicotine.
Be quit with me today, so I can be quit with you. iquitchewing day 68

Using the gum is doing nothing for you but extending the withdrawal. Its not giving you the nic that you think you need, you dont need it, it just causes frustration. Imagine not dosing yourself with poison for 3 days, thats 72 hours, then all the nicotine is out of your system. That doesnt mean that you wont still crave it sometimes, but it gets better after 3 days - you just have ti be brave enough to face those first few days of cold turkey. We all did it, and do it daily. Join us. Throw the gum out and post roll. Your day 1 begins when you commit to not use any nic, from any source. Get to quitting bro.
We have nothing to fear but fear itself.

Listen to these dudes - you gotta drop the nicotine gum. I was a 2+ can of General Snus per day chewer and I "stopped" for 6 months last year but during a majority of that time I used Nicorette. Then, one terrible day at work and I was straight back on the snus and I was using over 2 cans a day until last Sunday when I got pissed at myself.

Well, today, if I make it to 4 o'clock will be (3) full days without a dip.  I have been a full " can a day" dipper for at least 14 years, but been dipping for 23 years. Until I found this forum, I have been to weak to even attempt to quit. I must say, it's very encouraging to see you all here. Thank you. This very well may have saved my life!

I ordered some Golden Eagle which showed up last Thursday afternoon.  I literally spit my dip out and threw some in to try it.  That was the last one I had.  It doesn't taste anything like Griz or Kodiak, but it does have a nice little tingle (from the cayenne ). I also broke down and have used some Nicorrette gum which has kept me off the national news. Lol.

Good luck to all of you. I sure hope to be able to hang in there and kick this stuff for good.
This is a no nicotene site and no nicotene is allowed, not gum, not lozenges, not patches!

We quit hard here, you make your promise first thing in the morning and keep it!

....now once you stop with the gum you can post and get all the help we can muster....
Jason, you are close man. You are real close. I can hear the want in your message. You want to be free of that shit. The question is do you have the balls? It takes balls of steel to quit this shit. But you have come to the right place my friend, because that is just what we have. If we didn't have when we came we were taught how to grow them.

Flush that nasty good for nothing gum and pony up a Day 1 quit. Your body and brain can only begin to heal when you stop feeding the addiction. Nic gum is good for only one thing, KEEPING YOU ADDICTED TO NICOTINE WHILE YOU TAKE A LITTLE BREAK FROM TOBACCO. We have all danced that dance before. It does NOT work. And guess what it wasn't designed to.

I hope we see you around. Day 62 here. Quitting for good one day at a time.

There is no if

There is no luck

There is no hope

There is only do, one day at a time.

Get those other words out of your vocabulary.
