That's a damn good intro I must say.  Congrats on making the best decision you have ever made.

Your right about reading the stuff on this site. I have literally read all of it. Twice. When I first quit I had a daily routine. I would post roll in the am, and then start reading until I found something that I could hold onto for that day. Maybe it was another quitters post. Maybe it was reading the Tom and Jenny Kern's story, or any of the cancer threads or pics. Other days I read Hof speeches, or the posts from other resources, or guys intros.

I read until I hit upon a post that gave me the resolve to stay quit. Sometimes I read for an hour, sometimes a minute. I sucked the life out of this site and all it's information in order to strengthen my quit. I suggest you do the same. It'll work.

Thanks guys, yea Skoal that's kinda been my thing so far, If a craving sneaks up I just find some story or video or thread that I can use to keep me strong.
I have been using this place like a damn weightroom for 83 days now. my early morning workout yesterday was viewing the Sean Marsee video of his brother speaking about his demise. I will never look at that fucking can the same way
Stay quit!
Congrats on your decision. Post roll with your team and stay close to them. Shout to me, vets, anyone if you need to. Lots of willing help here and we've all been there.
Gosh, Mister, my teeth feel cleaner. But what about the hole in the wall?

"CLOSE THE DOOR. In my opinion, it?s the single most important step in your final quit. There is one moment, THE moment, when you finally let go and surrender to the quit. After that moment, no temptation will be great enough, no lie persuasive enough to make you commit suicide by using tobacco."

allow myself to introduce myself
« on: December 07, 2012, 06:07:00 PM »
Hello all,

I have been creeping around on this site for a little while now, figured I'd introduce myself. I had been a dipper for 12 years Grizzly wintergreen prior to 11/27/2012. I was finally ready mentally to make the leap for quitting. I was researching methods to help you quit, particularly fake dip when I stumbled upon this site with a dip still in. After about 25 mins of reading shit on the site, I took the lip out brushed my teeth and trashed the tin down the toilet. Since then I literally have spent hours reading all the informative threads (particularly the cancer ones). I haven't missed roll since I started and I love looking forward to posting another day!!
