Welcome Jonathan, listen to everyone and drink deep of the quit koolaid. One comment on your intro title, we are addicts forever, it gets easier but never again not even once!
Congratulations Jonathan on taking control back. This was a huge decision and you came to the right place to help you along your journey. Wt highlights an important point here. It won't be over. You're going to get through the fog and the nicotine fits and cravings and they will ultimately fade. But they will never go away - like the scar you got as a nine year old, there will be a small mark there where you'll always remember what happened - but it won't hurt anymore. Don't waste energy waiting for it to be "over" - you need to emotionally embrace that it won't be "over" - it will just get infinitely better. You have the courage to quit. And now - with this site - you have the tools.

I'm proud to be quit with you today.
The love you get here is conditional. The condition is that you are quit.

Welcome, sir. Congratulations on the best decision you've ever made. We are here to help with anything you need. Reach out to some folks and get numbers. Then use them. The brotherhood here builds accountability. That's how we roll. Shoot any of us a PM and we'll hook you up.

Oh..... your brickmason boss was an asshole. He has sent you down a path of destruction and betrayal. We all have similar stories, and we need to focus on our past so that we don't repeat it. I never want to suffer through the agony of withdrawals again, so I am quit today.

As for the side effects - you'll have a wide range of them. They'll be troubling at first, until you learn to appreciate them. As your quit progresses, you'll start to see the better stuff happening. I won't spoil the surprises, but your body will thank you.

Hy bro, first you are a bad ass for posting roll, a complete bad ass!, second have you have a chance to read and understand what roll is to us? It is our promise not to use nicotine in any form for that one day. We are all quiting one day at a time. Once you post roll you can't break your word to us! It is your word, all you have as a man. Post roll everyday as early as you can. I will quit with a bad ass like you any day.

The cold hands for me came from using chew, which freaked me out (not enough to quit for awhile though) knowing that it was probably a circulation thing. Congrats on quitting, the withdrawal symptoms should subside, post often and use this thread as your personal quit journal. Carry on!

Day 3 and cant wait till its over
« on: May 22, 2013, 08:55:00 PM »
Hey everyone Im Jonathan aka EJMLAWN28, I started dipping 11 years ago May 5 2002. I remember cause that was the day I started a past job as a brickmason. My back was killing me and the foreman I was working for tossed me a can of berryblend skoal and said this will make your back feel better, and its been with me until 3 days ago. I just found this site today and Im glad I did I could use the help. Starting yesterday my lower jaw/gums started to hurt a little and my hands are cold and sweaty right now, is this normal withdraw side effects? Did anyone else have the same effects after quitting?
