Hello? Anyone out there???

Buehler??? Buehler??? Tallcoolone1964?? Tallcoolone1964??

Hey buddy, I just finished writing this to another quitter who had posted one post in an intro and then went "black".... Maybe it'll help you. Glad you're here, but you need to understand how this place works....

First things first; the way KTC works is by having members post their roll promise DAILY. Basically you are committing to a group of complete strangers (at least initially) that you're not going to use nicotine in any form that day. That one 24 hour period between the time you wake up and the next time you wake up. Then you honor that promise. Wake up tomorrow and repeat. Over time, if you reach out and become active in your quit group (January, 17), those strangers will become an extended family. Truly. Not kidding. Honest Injun. An Extended Family. There will be far fewer of them several months down the road than there are (that's just the natural attrition rate within this site).

Posting roll is the price of admission to the brotherhood. You need to go find your quit group, HERE, and join in the conversation and become part of the family.

More explicit roll posting guidance is shown in this YouTube Video. Thanks to D2Maine for the work he did in putting that video together.

So....if you want to experience success in your quit (not saying you can't do this solo, but it's a LOT easier quitting with a group of like-minded individuals), jump in with both feet. January 17 is waiting for you....

I recommend checking out a supplement called New Mood from ONNIT. It has 5htp and some other great stuff to help relax, I also take Alpha Brain from ONNIT which helps with mental clarity. Both are a little spendy but worth it.

My advice is to post roll - that is our promise to quit dip for 24 hours. I don't worry about tomorrow, only today. Also exchange your number with some other quitters in your group, the folks going through what you are. It is very helpful.
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

Welcome tall! That may be the shortest intro, but we are not picky at KTC. Like Nomore said, go to the January 2017 quit group and post your promise to stay quit for today.

I'm, not sure what you mean by the question mark at the end of your intro. I asked the question whether I needed help many times after many failed quit attempts. When I finally accepted that the answer was yes and that I shouldn't be afraid to ask for help, I joined KTC. This place works! It's time to jump in with a full commitment. Can you tell us more about why you want to quit?
Don't be afraid.  You are not alone.
