Can't really add anything, LISTEN, LEARN, and FIND A WAY TO STAY ACCOUNTABLE. The guys who have sent me a text at random times asking how my day is going has saved me. Get accountable and keep people accountable!

good job Sloth you are being schooled here I see. My suggestion is to listen learn and READ READ READ. Knowledge is power arm yourself with the info that these bad ass quitters have put out there for all of us to learn from. Next get some numbers make contact with your group and other members here. now you have knowledge support now you have know when to pull the trigger to use all of it when she comes to try to take you back...when she does you hop on this site, fill your cake hole with whatever it takes besides dip, call text whatever it takes to get you through it. you have to ASK then the herd of brothers and sisters will be there for you to beat her ass. go to your inbox my number is there.

I'm 26 years old, dipping for 7 years,  threw up the first time I tried it and was stupid enough to go back for seconds.  I have no kids, but my first nephew was born and I decided to quit, I want to be around, Nuff said!

The first day for me was good...the second day sucked balls.  I was irritated the entire day and had to apologize to my boss for being this way (I explained what I was going through and why an he was extremely supportive).  Every 10 seconds I want to put a fat dip of Copenhagen long cut in but realize that I threw it away a couple of days ago and am stuck with some smokey mountain stuff that is supposedly going to save my life...and I'm ok with that!  I hope it gets better, but if anyone has suggestions I would appreciate it,   Where do I get acquainted with my class, quit 5/30/2013!
Its great you want to quit for your nephew, but there IS more to be said. "Nuff said"...bullshit.

Here's some suggestions....

Quitting for your wife, son, daughter, girlfriend, nephew, etc...isn't good enough. It might be a good start and motivating factor, but ultimately you must quit for YOU.

Smokey mountain is not going to save your life, YOU are. Its a tool that will help with the oral fixation, but ultimately it will not replace your once precious Cope long cut. Why? Because it has no nicotine, and that's what you are addicted to. You gotta build up some real hate for the Cope. Tell us why you're life would be better without it, and leave your nephew out of it. Show me some WANT TO brother, because right now I'm not feeling it.

The freshness of joining this cool site and quitting for your nephew will only last so long. You need a BRASS set of balls to quit this shit. You packing them or what?

It is going to suck but we do not HOPE it will get better around here. We KNOW it will get better. Hope is for dreamers and little kids around Christmas. KNOW is for true champions who have no doubts they can beat the nic bitch one day at a time.

You WILL do this. Things WILL suck, but things WILL get easier. When the suck gets bad and you're struggling, reach out to us and we WILL help.

WILL not hope, my friend. You got this.
Diesel, I appreciate the advice and straight talk. I am doing this for myself, no one wants to quit more than I do. I'm tired of knowing that eventually this $2,000 habit/yr is going to kill ME...I realize that and that is why I am taking this step in DOING it. Sometimes in life it takes something or someone to realize that you need to change. I've known that I need to change this ADDICTION of mine for a long time, but sometimes a little outside influence helps. Trust me I realize that Smokey Mountain is not going to Save my life... I have realized that with every ADDICTIVE pulse that has come in to my being the last 2 days, it has not been easy and each time I say no to nicotine you can guarantee, IT IS ME SAYING NO!

I truly appreciate the advice and welcome more! But just want everyone to know that this QUIT is MY QUIT! I want it.... and I'm going to freaking get it!
That a boy. I love it. I'm half cocked now. Thanks!!!!

05wrxing has given you some good advice. I consider him a wise elder, so listen to him.

Post Roll! It's what we do; add your name and the number of days quit that you are in the Sept 2013 group (05's link). This is your promise, a pledge to your quit brothers and sisters, to yourself, and to everyone else here on KTC to not use nicotine in any way, shape, or form, for the next 24 hours. Keep your promise. A man is nothing if his word is no good.

Read some of the other Intros and you'll see that you are taking the recommended path. Cold Turkey. Quit now. Next step is to Post Roll. Keep your word. And repeat.

We don't wish for good luck here and we don't hope. All we do is quit, support each other, watch out for each other, and have a laugh or two along the way. Post roll and you will get a metric shit-ton of support.
