Ty, take the tractoring ODAAT. It will be a struggle the first day, but once you work a day and stay quit, the next day is that much easier. I am on Day 22, so I am still running into new trigger points daily as the snow melts, and my work load slows down. I know that I have to face all of these triggers as a quitter, but I also know if I post roll and promise to you all at the KTC that I can stay quit ODAAT. I quit with you today Ty.

Thank you everybody! I am on my fourth full day now and still fighting. At times it gets easier and other times its rough. As far as tractor operating, Im not scared the quality of my work would go down. What I am worried about is being in a glass box for 8-10 hours a day without it and just worried how i will respond to the struggle. I will overcome it though and kill the can.

Ty, it's been a long hard winter here in Michigan, but I am 100% certain my lawn mower and weed whacker will work fine without a dip in my mouth (once the snow is gone), so I am confident your tractor will work as well! I quit with you today Ty!

Toddy explained it to me this way. Whatever you have to do to stay quit. Only 2 things you cant put in your mouth. Nicotine and dicks. other than that, do what you gotta do to stay quit.

Thank you both! I will keep all that in mind. Im happy to have this support around me. What do yall think about the Smokey Mountain Snuff as an alternative. Is it actually as safe as it says. Did any of yall use alternitives?
There are 3 rules to Quit Club. 1) post roll every day 2) Do not use nicotine in any form for that day. 3) See rules 1 and 2.

If Smokey mountain or other alternative is what you need to help you not use nicotine, then by all means use it. There are quitters here who continue to use it beyond 100 days, but they're not putting nicotine into their system and for that, they are as quit as the next guy. Then there are others, like me, who have quit the act of dipping in its entirety. No method is better than the other, the only method that matters is the 3 rules I started with.

One last thing, when you ride that tractor, what are you afraid of? Not being able to drive that tractor without a dip. Not being able to drive it as well without a dip. I guarantee that whatever your reason for fear is, it is purely addict talk. You don't need nicotine to do anything. Ever. Ty, we're all addicts here and have been in the same shoes as you and have said the same things you have. Trust me, being afraid to do something without a dip is just plain ridiculous. Just stick to the rules 1 day at a time and you'll get there. And we'll do this with you.

Ty - I think we all get being surrounded by dippers. I'm an umpire....almost all the guys in my association and the coaches I work with dip. You learn to deal with it. Make the decision to save your own life and don't worry about everybody else. Pretty soon you'll start to see their addict behavior for what it really is.

Hit up the welcome center and post roll EDD. Proud to quit with you today. If you need digits - PM me.

Hey yall! My name is Ty I have been a dipper for eight years and am now almost done with two days quit. I started dipping at the age of twelve on the farm that I grew up on. I am now twenty years old and play college baseball. This is an extremely hard decision for me because at school, on the field, or at the farm everybody around me has a dip in. I was looking at my gum line monday morning and decided that enough is enough. I am doing alright so far but the first hour after a meal is absolute killer. We are done with our season so I dont have to worry about the other 30 guys that dip around me but I go back to work in two weeks. I have never driven a tractor without a dip in and quite frankly im scared to try. I will do everything in my power to stay quit, i just need a little help and support. Thank You!!
Hey Ty, Welcome to KTC. it doesnt matter if zero or a million idiots are dipping around you. You are the one quitting. Just dont dip, it is that easy my friend. Yeah, there are going to be side effects from quitting........but who cares. Its not the end of the world bro. Its just simple One Day At A Time quitting. You got this man.
