Congrats on your quit. Always be prepared for when the cravings hit. Buy some sunflower seeds, gum, candy , or the fake snuff (I like smokey mountain, but not for everyone). Lean on us. We have all been there.

Good for you bro! It's poison, and you've decided that keeping your jaw attached to your face is what you want for your life. That's a smart decision. I quit with you today!
Agree with this guy, this is a great victory for you, remember how you processed this situation so you follow the same path in the future. As it is when we forget to think that we then make the reflex move that we had for so many years.

well done

So I went out drinking this evening/tonightÂ… I was worried about going out because I was concerned I would end up getting drunk and then craving the Nic and hunting it downÂ…
Honestly, I craved the Nic Bitch on about six different occasions throughout the night tonightÂ… And all six times, I took myself out the situation and had a little talk with myselfÂ… "Is it really worth running across the street for chew? You only want it because you're drunkÂ… You won't be able to post roll tomorrow for your 4th day if you dip nowÂ… You're already feeling the fog and feeling the suck from being three days in, is it really worth starting over again because you're drinking and have the crave?"

I'm at home now, by myselfÂ… With a big fat dip of Tobacco/Nicotine Free Smokey Mountain in while I write thisÂ… I feels great knowing I came over the obstacle of buying a can of chew because it was convenient and I was drunkenly craving itÂ…. I can't wait to post roll for my Day 4 tomorrow.

Congrats on your decision to quit..I'm at day 31 and it's a whole lot easier once you get through the first 72 hours when all the Nic is out of your system. Use the fake stuff as much as you need. I ran out at day 15 and when a crave hits me I dip coffee grounds. Mostly the craves only come while I'm at work or home when the wife is on my arse for something...I've been dipping 28 years. Failed hundreds of times before and this is the first time I have been successful for this length of time and I owe it all to the site, their rules, and a couple of awesome Quitters that support me daily. I'm sure you've received some PM's with members giving you their digits telling you to "hit'em" up if you need encouragement and support. Use that great resource if you need it, it does help to talk to someone that knows what you're going through.

Strong strong, Stay Quit Brother. HMU if you need support or advise...KickU2Sleep (Nick)

I've decided to quit today. I haven't dipped today and I got rid of the smokeless tobacco I had left. I'm going post my name on the quit group now.

Thanks.
Nice work brother. Do it again in the AM. Let me know if you need help.

I'm in the mood to watch Forest Gump now for some strange reason.
Mama always said to put my name on roll call.

Welcome, sir. I like your no nonsense attitude. Sounds like you've read the drill and understand the process. Yell if you have any questions.

You got this!
Thanks for the comments and words of wisdom guys. I know today was only my first day but it was f*kin awful. I had the cravings. You don't feel all there, ugghÂ… Keep on fighting though. I have the fake stuff which seems to help a bit.

Thanks.
It is fucking A awful, and today will be as well. Day 3 put me on my knees several times. It's called the SUCK, and if you stay quit you never have to go through it again! Drink a ton of water, get some digits from other quitters, and stay close the KTC!
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

Nice, short, sweet and to the point. I like that. Keep your quit simple: hate the nic bitch, post roll, honor your word, read all you can, repeat.
It's easy from a distance but can get tough at times...are you up to it?
I say hell yeah!
I'll quit with you today.
Tell us more about you.

Fuckin A! you are making the right decision. Get through the fog man, 1 day, 1 hour at a time, and you will feel the freedom from braking the chains nicotine has had on you for years.

Read everything you can on this site and get involved with your quit group. They are seriously bad ass.

Shoot me a PM if you need any help
