I'm 14 days in.  after reading through the site i get the fog thing and know it well now.  what is kick'n my ass is just getting motivated to go get some stuff done... you know, it used to be i'd pack in a chew and next thing I knew 3 hours was gone and so was a whole pile off my list.  now, just getting motivated to do anything besides work out or run is not so easy.  this will go away i know but when?
You are gettin' shit done. This is the most important thing you will do today, this week, month, year, perhaps decade and even lifetime. If you don't think that going to bed with day 15 in the quit bag is not an accomplishment then you have lost perspective. Sorry - got ahead of myself. Day 15 is a huge accomplishment.

Be quit. The rest of that shit will happen all by itself.
...when you are suffering on some gnarly hillclimb, clinging onto the wheel in front of you for dear life, pray you don't get dropped.

1. Nuke the processed foods and sugar for awhile. If it comes in a bag or a box it is probably processed.

2. Begin to exercise. Ease into this and clear it with your doctor, but I have found that intense cardio - intervals - helps.

Doing these two things help get me through the day with a clear head.

The most important thing for you is patience. It will get better.

Temper your expectations just a little. Lets say you chewed for 5 years, that's 1,825 days of poisoning yourself. You have been without for 14 and your body is still trying to adjust. It sucks yes, but it will not happen overnight.

It's tough but my guess is it might be tougher getting your food through a tube because your mouth is gone from chewing that crap. You can do this, just need to fight through each day.
A promise not kept is the road to exile.

If quitting is cool, consider me Myles Davis.

Unless you bring value onto my 1/2 acre, I don't want to hear it.

Congrats on the 2 weeks! Early in my quit I did all kinds of stuff to keep myself distracted so motivation wasn't an issue. Staying focused at work was though for about a month. I am going to say that you will snap out of it as soon as you want to. Will yourself to do whatever tasks needs done. As you reprogram your brain to do things without a dip in things will get easier and motivation will come back.
Time heals but I'm forever broken
