Another one bites the bullet fired by the nic bitch. Why did you post roll for 2 days then run? At 63, you don't have time to fuck around with the quit. Quit or die, as evil_won once said. I seriously hope you read this at some point and realize how serious this really is.
Makes me sad that a 63 y/o can't show the 20 something's how it's done.
Some of my fondest and clearest memories are peeing in places that aren't bathrooms.

I am 63, started chewing in my early 20's,,,, chew cost 25 cents a can back then. I have quit once for around a year, and tried many times with no success. Have been chewing about a can a day for ever.
I recently found i have to have some major surgery,, my surgon will not perform the surgery unless i am tobacco free for 30 days prior. So,,, I stopped the tobacco,, chewed the ncorette gum until a few days ago. now on day three of being nicotine free! One day at a time......
Welcome Rev 44,

First things first, there is no such bullshit as "hope to quit" you are either QLF of you can FO. There is no in between.
Second, you are not here by mistake, but you need to find in yourself the real reason you are quitting. Are you quitting because you have to have this surgery or are you quit because you want to be done with tobacco and enjoy freedom? If you are only quitting to get the surgery out of the way and then you intend to go back to your can a day addiction then please go ahead and FO. You are either quit for life or you are not quit at all here. Finally, make sure you register, post roll every damn day. Not when you feel like it, not once a Gordon, but EVERY. DAMN. DAY. No excuses (except for surgery).
Third, you have never quit tobacco before, that is addict bullshit speak. You stopped and then you caved to the bitch. That kind of behavior is completely unaccepted around here. Make sure that you have phone numbers, email address, and whatever other contact information you can get for your brothers. If you need/want my digits send me a PM and I will personally help make sure that you are quit Every Damn Day.

Today you are either quit or you're not, it is as simple as hell, there is no in between, no "sorta" and sure as shit no "hope it's for good". Now tell me brother are you in or should you just go ahead and FO?

How about posting roll? Without that all of this is lip service.

Rev44 - Welcome!

First - We don't HOPE to quit here. We quit like fuck here. Every damn day. So you need to remove that bullshit hope word from your vocabulary. You either quit or you don't. Don't hope to make this your last quit, just fuckin DO IT! Make the choice now... Choose to quit and we're behind you all the way.

I'm sure evil has sent you all the "how to"... Read over the welcome center. Post roll everyday, as early in the morning as possible (no excuses here). Roll is your promise/commitment to us and to yourself that you will not use nicotine in any form (chew, gum, lozenges, patches, etc...) for 24 hours. Honesty is everything here, to us and more importantly honesty to yourself.

Your quit group will be September. Start gathering phone numbers and build your web of accountability. We will hold you accountable for your quit, and we expect you to hold us accountable as well. Actually text and/or call those numbers you get in good and bad times. Build your brotherhood.

Live Chat is a good place to connect, get numbers, shoot the shit...

If you can promise to keep the poison out of your face today I'll be happy to quit with you.
Send me a PM if you want a phone number to start your web.
Hi Rev44. You will also see a message from me in your inbox. Use these contacts. Let us help you fight. Quitting is hard. It just sucks at times, but it gets better. It really is very simple. Post your promise. Keep your word. Repeat.

Keep that shit out of your mouth. I can tell you that the ladies don't like the fellas with half jaws.

You stopped a few times in the past. Quitting is this time, today only, and repeated tomorrow. I'm glad you dumped the nic gum. Nicotine the the poison chemical that kept us addicted. You cant quit something if you continue to put it in your blood even at lesser doses. Cold turkey is the only way to go.

If you havent already, read the welcome center then get your name on roll - every day - first thing you do - no exception. Check your inbox.
You are absolutly correct abut the gum, it is adictive itself. But, it helped me make the transisiton from chew to plain gum, reducing the amount of poision in my body as i went. Now am a cold turk!
