Just read your HOF speech. It's funny how we all got here at 100 days, but we are here. I am looking forward to doing the work to stay quit for the next 100 days. People say it's more challenging so we need everyone to stick together.

I'm so happy that you are getting your act together as a younger age than most people. You are doing this.
100 days...awesome! Perspective: how many days did you dip for? for me it was somewhere around 8400. in that 23 yrs, I was NEVER without dip for 100 days. Straight. For me 100 was the biggest damn milestone ever. Then i woke up on day 101 and realized the journey has just begun. 100 was the first step and the rest just add up. After 100 find some new ways to stay engaged on the site. Help a noob. Post with a bunch of old salts. keep it fresh!

  • Interests: I am a follower of Jesus Christ. A husband and a father of a 14 year old son. A huge White Sox (hence the screen name) and Blackhawk fan. I golf, play chess, and work in construction. Living the rest of my life, one day at a time, without nicotine.

I see your Day 2! Way to crush it Seth!

If you're looking for alternatives, or something for the oral fixation, I've heard Atomic Fireballs (or some shit) work. I've used seeds, tea bags, coffee grounds with Tabasco, Oregon Mint Snuff Pouches (love them) and Hooch Spitfire fake dip.

As long as there is no nicotine in it, stick it in your face.

Wait. That sounded like something gmann would say...
I'm going to try to stay away from fake, it feels like cheating, but I like the profile pic gunny always makes me smile lol
GySgt Hartman will kick your ass if you cave.

Welcome to the suck, Seth. Good on you for recognizing the importance of reaching out to your brothers here. Build those bonds of accountability and this place will save your life.
Welcome Seth, my advice, read all you can and start posting roll. The sooner you build your accountability web the better.

Great job on choosing to win!
Thanks bro I'm trying joined the December PRE HOF group and posted roll today because all we got is today
Congrats on a great decision!

You mentioned for us to email you if you forget to post. My STRONG advice is to be as deliberate at posting as you were to make sure you had your cancer weed. Your DAILY promise not to use nicotine is the CORNERSTONE of the program here.

Post Roll/Honor that Promise/Repeat.

Embrace the suck... as bad as it is the first few days, you never have to go through them again... and freedom is on the other side.

I have an addictive personality as well, get addicted to reading everything posted on the KTC, and once you are a few days quit, get addicted to helping the new folks struggling with Day 1.

Make sure you are doing this for you, and not your new baby. Do it right the first time, and you can avoid the pain and financial strain some of us 40+ dudes experienced.
I've been all over the place in the forums today just creeping. I signed up for the December quit group. And this isn't the first quit I've done I had to do the same for drugs and have been clean for two years and I don't need this security blanket anymore. I'm not doing it for my daughter but so that I don't have to deal with any of the guilt I would undoubtedly feel.

My name is Seth as you've probably gathered, I've been dipping since I was 18 and I'm ready to give it up. I have a daughter on the easy and I just started a new job I figured Hell why not get all of the stress out of the way at once. I'm glad to have a support group in this as I tend to have a very addictive personality I'm glad to have you guys here for me. If you want to contact me or if i forget to post email me it's just my screen name at gmail. Thanks, Seth
Saw your post. Day 1 is the day you tossed the nic. Be prepared for some sucky days, Everyone on this site has been where you are and we are here to support you. Go to your Dec roll and there's lots of helpful links at the top. You should check out the welcome center and get all your tools in place to make it through the next few days be it hard candy, gum, seeds, fake.

Whatever you do, stay the course. It can be done, it must be done. If you feel the need get in chat. Of a really bad crave and no one is there, post in Dec you need help and folks will meet you there. Trade digits with some of your Dec brothers. That makes a huge difference in accountability and is a powerful tool.

Welcome, you got this.
