1. You start counting quit days, when you have taken that last hit of nicotine and say that is enough.

2.You don't hope to quit. You commit and quit. You post roll daily. You make brothers/sisters. You wake up each day to send that text saying, I quit with you.

I am all for people quitting. But, the quit has to be for you and not for your family. Also, as the others have stated. you haven't quit until you stop the nicotine all together. If you do it for someone else you end up building regrets. maybe not intentionally, but you will. At some point, you will look at junior or little betty daughter o mine and say "You are the reason daddy isn't happy!". Then, when you cave you will go beast mode on it. Quit for yourself, dive into this site, have a very very good chance at quitting. Or, do it on your own for your family and 99.9% chance of failure, family hatred, disgust, worse off than you were before. Time for your decision. Man up or wuss out. Yes, that simple. Yes, I am an asshole sometimes. Yes, nearly all of us would say the same thing if not use different words.

We walk in each others quit shoes, it may be a little different but ultimately the same exact thing

^^ Agreed. You will only be quit once nicotine is not entering your system in any way. The only way is cold turkey. You need to look inside and figure out why you want to quit. You will never be able to quit unless you quit for you. Quitting for your family won't do a justice because you will resent them early on in your quit.

Again we have to ask. Are you ready to really be quit?

You aren't quit you are just changing the vehicle that delivers the poison (nicotine). You are only quit when you stop the nic.
