Day 16.... and feeling pretty good.... the Fog is not near as "thick" as it has been in previous days....
Found an old empty can in the bed of my truck yesterday, and for the first time it did not make me think of dipping, actually seemed to have no effect on me....but the sad part is I keep dreaming about dipping, and some of the time actually wake up pissed off at myself dipping, until I realize it was just a dream and that I am still good.

Good luck all you quitters out there... I know I will have bad days even from this point forward, but I wanted to document there are some good days along this journey.....

Over time, the good days become more and more frequent. So frequent that it is easy to drop one's guard. There will always be that dream or that little voice in your head begging you to go back. It's why we need to quit every damn day!

Proud to quit with you today Matt! :)

Day 13. My brain feels like it has forgotten how to work. I am in the deep fog, and at least this time of the year is pretty slow at work. Not to mention the constant head aches, which I assume is part of my bodies reaction to having that poison in it for 20 years and all the sudden being clean. I know it will all get better and I already feel happier and have smiled and laughed more today than the previous 12 days combined.

Really like the live chat, even if you are not the one talking, you quickly realize you are not alone and not the first to experience the affects of quitting. Not to mention the fact that it will take your mind away from any urges you migh be having at that moment.

Next week I will hit the 20 day mark. I am proud, I know it might sound silly but that is almost a month and an extra 120 dollars in my pocket.

Thank you all for you words and posts. It really does help reading about others battles.
Expect lots of ups and downs over the next several weeks. This is normal! Post roll every day, stay quit, and celebrate this holiday season nicotine free! B)B

Talk about difficult. Hunting all weekend without cope. Was lucky to have plenty of seeds to chew on. Not to mention a wonderful wife who helped me put up my deer. Nothing like great team work.
Then to add more difficulty. I had to go to my wife's Christmas party and dress like a penguin (black tie affair) . Normally I would look for the first way out to get a dip, but tonight was different and got to meet a lot of interesting people. Not to mention kept the wife happy.
Awesome! Keep posting about your victories in this thread. They can help you and others too! :)
Great victory indeed MattO. Keep it up. It just gets better and better

Glad to see you posting Roll, Matt! Believe it or not, that seemingly small step can save your life.

Congrats on making it almost two weeks on your own.

You are a member of the March '17 quit group, which can be found here. That is a group of quitters who have quit within a month of you, so they are experiencing the same stuff you are. We post roll, our daily promise to stay nicotine free, in our quit groups. Learn more about what roll is here, and how to post roll here.

Posting roll is the backbone of this site, and the key to our success at remaining quit. This is a very interactive site. We will watch your back, if you watch ours. After time, the March group can become like a second family to you, if you buy in to the system. Our method works, and thousands of people have remained quit for years when they subscribe to it.

My best advice to you is to jump in with both feet, and drink the kool aid.
