Great to see you on roll this morning Engine Ear. I quit with you today and EDD that you post roll.
"Post roll. Post more if you want to. That's the beauty of the place: We ask you post roll. We ask you to be honest. That's all. No more. No less. Be there for your brothers and ask for help when you need it." - Wastepanel 10/6/14

"What would you do to save your own life? If you were fighting cancer today would you suffer through Chemo, surgeries, try new a therapy? change your diet, go to church? What intolerable hell would you endure to simply live. When you have thought long and hard about that, think on this. Why not apply that attitude to your quit. Suffer through the temporary discomfort of withdrawal to achieve your freedom from a slow painful demise via nicotine. Your in the ring already- fight like you mean it." - Skoal Monster 10/8/14

The only reason to quit is for you and you alone. If you quit for anyone else that gives you a reason to cave when you are let down. .... I quit with you today. One day at a time is the only way. Pm me for number

^^^^^These vets nailed it^^^^^

Quit for you and you only. Quitting for anything else will only build resentment and aid in the destruction of everything good in your life. By quitting for you all the others will fall into place.

Welcome to KTC Engine Ear. You seem to want it but I do want to make sure that it is clear that you need to want it all for you. Think about how silly you looked slapping a tin, think about how fowl your breath smelled, think about not having a tongue, think about being disfigured, think about missing out on the lives of your family.

Now when you are 100% in this for you, you shall succeed. However, get your wife involved, have her read this Spousal Support.

You may also find reading these documents very helpful as well: What to Expect

Read all you can, meet other quitters and pledge to be quit daily.
"If you want to quit then stop talking and just QUIT. If you want to kill yourself a bullet is cheaper and faster than a tin, plus it eliminates my hearing you whine and cry like a bitch."

Best thing I have read on KTC...Submitted by tgafish on 7/3/14

Former Skoal Straight and Cope Longcut user that started at the age of 12. QUIT on 7/15/13

Hey Everybody;

I have been additied to the can for a decade, thats right 10 years of slavery (1 can per day). I have attempted quitting in the past but have never sought out the help of a "community". I am happy to be here and happy to say that November 14, 2014 will be my fist day without chewing tabacco for the rest of my life.

My reasons to quit: God, Wife, Future Children, Cost.....

Can't wait to get through these first couple weeks and get to know some of you guys who are in the same boat!

Engine Ear
Welcome. Let's get you on the right track engineer. God has nothing to do with you quitting, he didn't put that poison in your lip for 10 years. Your wife has nothing to do with it, she didn't put the shit in your lip for 10 years and your future children, this one is obvious. YOU made yourself an addict. You quit for you. Quitting for something or someone else, does not work.

Almost everything you need to quit and stay quit, is here. The only thing not provided is an attitude that you will not fail at this. We don't hope here, we don't try here and we damn sure don't wish each other luck. Quit on!

How about editing your list of reasons for quitting, you missed the reasons that breed success; self esteem, personal health. Honestly there is nothing wrong with being very selfish, quitting for others is good but isn't what ultimately leads to success.

You can do it, just stay here with a group of people who know what
is going on, and have been where you're going.
