I'm pulling for you dude...post roll, man up, and fight this fight every damn day. The thing is, odds are not in your favor. The under 30 crowd has a 3-5% success rate; so don't be a statistic. Be the trend setter. Be an anomaly. Be quit.

Congrats on day 4. Post roll and lets get quitting on day 5!

Jeff,

Right there with you - same quit date. Except I'm 41 and wish I had quit at your age. Very wise choice. There's no other option for us but nicotine free. No smokey, no chewy, no vapey. No NIC! ever. One day at a time.

Hey all, I've been addicted to nic for 8 years total, the first year was smoking the next 7 were Copenhagen. I'll be 20 in about 2 weeks and didn't realize how long I've been addicted until I really thought about it. My dad has been a long time smoker and just had a cancer scare, he quit for a week, once the results came back negative he lit up again and pissed me off to no end. So I'm here to quit for myself, so that I never have to go through the shitty cancer scare, and when I have a family they wont be put through the same things mine have gone through the last few months. And also to hopefully give my dad the kick in the pants to quit again.
Anyway, It's day 4 for me, it sucks, I've been lurking around the site before posting anything this week, my cravings are through the roof today and I figured It's good a day as any to make my first post.

Here's a nice middle finger to nicotine! 'Finger'
Welcome aboard, Jeff! Not only is it a good day to make a first post, it's also a good day to head on over to October and start posting roll call! There's something comforting in knowing other people are going through the same thing along side you, then being able to celebrate milestones with those same people. This isn't something you have to do alone, nor would I recommend it. Give it a shot!

Here is a link to October!

Jeff,

Great job on day 4. It is going to suck until it doesn't, but the freedom is amazing. I only wish I had your insight at 20 years old. Get involved here and post your promise to quit everyday. I quit with you and am pulling for you to make it through this weekend, don't let me down. Don't let YOURSELF down. Fight for your independence. Check your inbox in the upper right corner, I sent you a pm.
