If it ain't Hooch Spitfire with some hot sauce added to it it ain't nuthin'.

No really. I did add hot sauce to most of my Hooch. But really Hooch is the only fake stuff that resembles the real stuff.

If I could do it again I would have never touched the fake because it was incredibly hard to quit on its own.

Smokey Mountain is the best ever!
+1
I havent tried Smokey mountain...I like hooch wintergreen...did not like jakes at all- too sweet and too messy
I second the hooch wintergreen or mint. I was a Copenhagen dipper and never liked wintergeen snuff, but it was my favorite of the Hooch brand.

I was having a craving and went into the gas station and bought some beef jerky chew and it was god awful.  Anyone ever tried the Jake's Mint Chew or any of the other smokeless alternatives on the site?  If so, how are they?
http://www.killthecan.org/yourquit/reviews.asp

Heres a link to reviews of the different types of fake chew. I personally like Hooch Mint  spitfire, and Smokey Mountain mint.

I also like the jack links jerky chew, so too each their own.

I dont want to scare you but at the beginning of your quit there is no substitute that will fill the crave that nicotine had on you. Fake chew, jerky, seeds, gum, or candy are all good to help fight through the craves but there will be a lot of pain and suffering the first three days.

Just get through today, and remember that you will only have to go through the "suck" once, as long as you never cave.

I stumbled onto this site and realized that I can actually do this, quit.  I have been on and off chewing for 7 years and my mother was diagnosed with mouth cancer a few weeks ago.  Ever since then I have been trying and trying but reading some of the things on this site and shown me that I may just have the balls to quit.  I am tired of looking the mirror, seeing if I have signs of cancer, the sleepless nights if its too late, if I've sealed my fate.  Hopefully tomorrow will go smoother then today.
deck,

Here is the program that works:

1-post roll with January --this is your quit group--make your promise not to use today and keep it--no caving!

2- repeat this step everyday--One day at a time

3- Read everything on this site and becom educated

4- use the support system on this site and have some off site support

5- Man up!

Welcome to the Quit--Now start psoting roll
