Pissed. Day 3. I'm the head of security for a bar in Sunnyvale and my co-manager is in charge of scheduling tonight he scheduled me to not have a doorman. So we trade some guys around and he lets me know I'm gonna have a noob at the front door tomorrow That's never worked a door before and it should be fine because he's former coastie. No offense to coasties (I wanted to be one) but because you worked in the military doesn't mean you know shit about talking to people and checking id's. Not to mention this guy is the shitiest bouncer. Writing checks his ass can't cash, not backing up other bouncers during fights (I got sent to hospital during one such fight), or alerting me his manager when there's a fight or other type incident. I chewed a can a night at this place on an average "calm" night. This should be interesting, if I check in from the ER tomorrow you'll know it was a ducking insane night

Excuse typos. This is all from my phone
Ok got it. You're a badass bouncer in a bar. You need to turn that into being a badass quitter. Treat that can the same way you treat the dickwads that start shit in your bar. Kick nic in the teeth. It doesn't respect you. It wants you dead. Fuck nic. Put in in the frigging hospital.

I'm quitting with you dude, don't let me down.
Yep send that damn can to the ER!! Better yet the morgue.
So how did the night turn out? 'Popcorn'
Your name should be on the roll right after you wake up.
I used to bounce, so I figure you got home around 4, and will wake up around 10:30
Get your name on the roll at 10:31
Usual bunch of idiots.

Had to get computer access first. My laptop is a piece of junk and this is my first time turning it on in months, no excuse its just easier when i check in from the SOC.

Nah... Don't worry about day 101. You'll deal with that when it gets here. Look forward to winning TODAY. Today/right now is always badass. Today is what you can control. Welcome to freedom m'man... This place is the place to be. Buckle up and jump all in... This CAN be done. Make sure you understand what quit groups are and what posting roll with your quit group means. I say it all'a time... Get involved and stay involved. That's how we are those +1 days. Rock on...
Welcome aboard man. Saw your post in Work in Wildcard on how you work with YL. Thats pretty pretty cool man. Don't worry to much about day 101, worry about today. If I began looking at day 101 from my start I wouldnt be here today.

Everyday is a war brother. You enter the battle everyday and will fight the cravings, urges, and bad moods. But the battle will be yours if you fight for today. Check your PM I'm gonna send you my number.
Welocome to KTC Matt! Its nice to see another left coaster here. Great decision to join. Read as much as you can, be active here, and above all Post Roll EVERYDAY and keep that promise. Holler via PM if I can help in any way.
Thanks amigo! this is crazy awesome to dive into a tight-knit community so quickly.
It was really weird for me in the beginning joining a group of strangers. You will find that we are all fighting for the same thing and you will have brothers and sisters here that understand very well what you are going through. It really sucks in the beginning. Make it through that one day at a time and things do get way way way better! I could never have quit without this site. No Lie. It has saved my life.
"Weird" is an understatement. I didn't think I even needed this site at first. I considered myself a "light dipper" because a can would last 2 or 3 days. And I would stop for weekend every once in a while just to make sure I could. I figured I would post until I reached the HOF just to humor folks here. Then I would be "cured" so I wouldn't have to do it anymore. HOLY SHIT, I WAS STOOOPID.

Lucky for me, this site got through to me...which is not very easy to do. I'm stubborn AND stupid...a real double-threat. But when I started reading, I was humbled by what I saw. These people actually knew dipping. They understood addiction. They weren't "strangers" at all...they knew ME. I am them.

No self-righteous bullshit. This site was more than just a bunch of cancer pics and slogans. This site is more than just talk. This site is how I stay quit each day. This site has made all the difference in the world for me, my family and my life. And it can for you too.

Get involved. Read everything. Vent, rage, whatever...then read it all again. Give your word and fight like Hell to keep it. We got your back. YOU GOT THIS!!!

Hey Folks, Heard about this site last night from quitinCA (Day 72?). Started with welfare bear when i was in high school, to cope black, to pouches, to snus. Worked around law enforcement and security my whole life so there was never a motivation to quit. I was back up to 4-6 cans a week until this morning when i had a lip in reading through the forums and cancer stories. I've tried to quit before but this time will be different.

Look forward to day 101.
Let's do this man, ODAAT
