Its 3:15 AM in NYS. Woke up in the middle of the night craving. First thing I do is come on here and read intros, and read the replies of my intro and look at who posted roll. I stumbled upon yours and see that your my age man. We have this huge chance to change our lives for the better at 22 years old. Were never going to get the years and dollars that we spent on this shitty addiction. Figure it out man, your either in or your out but if your going to come on KTC you better give it your 100 percent. Yeah theres going to be a day or two when I miss roll but you bet your ass its not going to be because I didn't want to do it or that I caved. But out of respect to our fellow brothers, don't half ass this shit and stick to your word. God forbid you caved, but if that's the case then figure your shit out and apologize to those who are trying to help. Take control of your life, you only have one so don't let the nic bitch run it.

I'm only a day 5 guy, so I don't have a lot of leverage around here but god damn do I respect those who have 100 plus days or the guys who stick to their word day in and day out, its about time you show them some respect to because in the end its only going to help you, that is if you let us.

Clayton where the fuck are you? Haven't posted since Saturday, and it's Wednesday. Oh look at that...you were even online today. Now I'm not the smartest man alive but it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to figure out you either A) Caved like a pussy or B) Didn't listen to a fucking thing I or anyone else posted in here.

Either way, that's fucking Bull Shit. I don't post in every intro, I specifically posted in here, you know why? Because you're young and I can relate. You really don't fucking get it do you? You have your entire life to live nic FREE if you just sack up and fucking quit. Ask any quitter who fucked the nic bitch for 20, 30, 40 years if they wish they could have had this place and the God Damn sense to quit at 22, guaranteed they all say yes. You've been given a golden opportunity to save your life, fucking take it.

This is life or death, what will you choose?

Welcome PH, and congratulations on your first roll post. I believe one of the reasons younger dippers fail in their quits more often is our concept of time. Obviously at 22 you have many more tomorrows to quit than I do at 44. With youth, caution is thrown to the wind because you can always quit tomorrow. At least that is what I did, and look at me. It took me 22 more years than you to quit. I so wish I would have quit at your age. Embrace this quit like your life depends on it, because it does. Take a look at this video: Sean Marsee Story

So well spoken dan 38 years wasted here brother but I quit with you all!
Tobacco is so addictive it took me a year after a massive heart attack, in which doctor confirmed caused from dipping to finally put a lid on the bitch! ODAAT EDD

Welcome Clayton, glad you decided to quit this shit.

First things first, as Jaker already mentioned quitting at a young age is difficult. I don't know why it is, but quitters under 30 don't seem to stick to their quits as often as the old farts do. That being said it all depends on YOU! It's about your attitude, your mindset, your word, and your honor. So use this as fuel, prove me wrong, show me a young quitter has the balls to stay quit.

You said most the people you know dip? Well now you know thousands who don't, all because you joined this site. You're going to be exposed to that shit in real life, my advice is to try and limit how often you're around people who use nic. I know that's easier said than done, but it's probably going to make your life a little easier. It's not impossible to quit in your situation. There are many quitters here who have similar situations were all their friends and family use nic.

We ask that you post roll everyday here, that is the price of admission if you will. Roll is your promise to stay quit for 24 hours, that's all we ask of you is 24 hours. Take this one day at a time, don't get caught up in forever, just worry about today. Read as much as you can. Go back to any of the previous quit groups and read the struggles they went through.

Last piece of advice: Make friends. Might sound funny to "make friends on the internet" but the truth is that the guys (and gals) you quit with should become a second family for you. They're going to help keep you quit and you are going to help keep them quit, if you don't know each other that's pretty difficult to do.

Glad to have you aboard, you got this shit. PM me if you need any help!

Hey Clayton, its awesome you decided to quit at such a young age. I'm 24 so I understand you. Its tough to quit, and the people here are going to be tough on you. For some young guys it is hard to take and they don't respond well. We all want the best for you and everyone on this site has your back, all you have to do is to promise every day in roll call that you won't use nicotine for the day. After that you just have to keep your word. One day at a time.

first day of the rest of my life
« on: January 08, 2015, 02:28:00 AM »
Today is the day I have made the decision to quit dip for the long haul. I am 22 years old and began seriously dipping everyday at age 15 and I don't believe I have gone a day since without dip in my lip. Skoal apple or wintergreen is what started this awful addiction and shortly thereafter I was introduced to my shitty addiction of choice Copenhagen snuff. Oh how cool I thought I was.. Everyone I looked up to dipped Copenhagen and now I was just like them! If at that time I knew that they were addicted to a vile, worthless substance that wasn't cool or admirable, I definetly could have saved a lot of hassle and money, and I surely wouldn't be here. I am feeling very nervous about this. The main reason for the nervousness is the fact that nearly everyone I have daily interaction with dips, nearly all of my friends, co workers, and my Dad. I feel like the craving triggers will be endless but I desire with every part of a man that I am to quit this pointless addiction that controls my life, wastes my money, fucks up my teeth and looks absolutely disgusting. Even thought I am scared I know I can do this. I am very grateful that I have this site as a lifeline to call upon. Reading everyone's posts has already helped me in solidifying my decision to declare myself free of nicotine and start the first day of the rest of my life.
