You're spot on about how nicotine changes your psyche. "Made me enjoy not being around her." wow, that is some truth man. I remember I would be in bed with my girlfriend at the time, and thinking the whole time about popping off to the bathroom to sit and throw in a dip for 5 minutes.
Haha you had some shame bro.

I didn't. Just straight up spitting into a water bottle on the bed while we watched movies. Fucking animal! roflmao
We had some fun early on exchanging stories about the most ridiculous shit we did to dip. One time I was driving and couldn't find a convenience store, so I took my lunch out of the bag and started using that as a spitter instead. I think I must have realized how fucking pathetic I was, but nothing beats the call of the addiction man until you kick it to the curb!

"What would you do to save your own life? If you were fighting cancer today would you suffer through Chemo, surgeries, try new a therapy? change your diet, go to church? What intolerable hell would you endure to simply live. When you have thought long and hard about that, think on this. Why not apply that attitude to your quit. Suffer through the temporary discomfort of withdrawal to achieve your freedom from a slow painful demise via nicotine. Your in the ring already- fight like you mean it." - Skoal Monster 10/8/14

Thanks for the support my fellow ninja dippers! Currently starting Day 4 and yes those first three days were hell but I'm excited to be freed from the chains, however long it takes. You guys have been an inspiration! I've opened up to close family members about my addiction and I feel it has brought me closer. One day at a time!
that's some powerful quit mojo.

Keep it up.

Proud to quit with you today.

Welcome Griz and wise choice on the quit. Like others have said, get to know you fellow quitters in the January 2016 group. There are some bad ass quitters in there for sure.

When you just got told to embrace the suck, you really need to. Remember what it feels like so you never have to feel this way again. Do it once and be done with it. Drink plenty of fluids, get your oral fixation by using gum, fake dip( Hooch, Smokey Moutain). Exercise.

Im proud to be quit with you today brother. Together we can do this!!! Oh yeah don't forget to swap phone numbers with other quitters. They just may be your lifeline one day. Take care my brother!!

Grizz, this is awesome. You're coming up on day 3 now, and by the end of the 72 hours the nicotine will be out of your body! Crazy shit, right? Not sure if you ever stopped before, but I know for a lot of us the 72-hour mark was the first time nicotine had been out of our body in a LONG time.

You're spot on about how nicotine changes your psyche. "Made me enjoy not being around her." wow, that is some truth man. I remember I would be in bed with my girlfriend at the time, and thinking the whole time about popping off to the bathroom to sit and throw in a dip for 5 minutes.

Things won't change overnight. I think dipping made me a less sociable person and I am still feeling the effects of that. But regardless of how you change after quitting, the important part is that you are quit! Start to convince yourself — anything is better than going back to nicotine.

I quit with you today, Griz. I'll post roll with you for tomorrow.

Welcome Grizz, nice job on your quit so far. Beat it one day at a time just like you have been. It gets easier, not all at once though. So be prepared, be vigilant, and be SURE YOU POST ROLL EVERY DAMN DAY!

Proud to be quit with you today

I think we outta have a contest here as to who thinks they were the ultimate ninja dipper. God, I ninja dipped like crazy for 35 years, kids baseball games.. hiding in right field somewhere. Sitting in the car watching the game on a perfect sunny afternoon???...., whatever it took. Shoveling snow or ruinning snowblower with a dip..

The whoel time thinking nobody knows I am dipping. WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What an a-hole I was.

You took the first step my brother. Ask your brothers in January about some of their experciecnces.
Get active on this site too.

Ask fowl, nothing feels better than when you reach out to a newbie quitter like we are doing with you. Thats how you know this site works!

Not a bad sob story, you're young. Like Quark I ninja dipped for decades. Let me tell you that 40+ years of sneaking around led to a lot of self loathing. There is life after dip! And it's good!!!

Every time I read a post on here about ninja dipping I smile because I beat myself up about it for so long, only to find out I was not alone.

That's when I learned the ninja techniques, she caught me a few times but didn't know I was stuffing my face with dirt when I wasn't around her. Made me enjoy not being around her.

So here I am, 24 years old with a civil engineering degree, scrubbing toilets Yea it is, but it's what I needed to seriously understand how
I ninja dipped a good part of 30 years and was only caught at it maybe a handful of times. I had never heard of the term ninja dipper until I found KTC, and to my surprise there are quite a number of us.

You are very young, and time has a way of moving faster the older you get. 24 becomes 30 become 35 becomes 40 in a blink. Quit not, otherwise in a flash you will wake up on your 30th birthday still slave to your addiction. Keep it up and the other thing you will find is that you enjoy being around everyone less and less, and all you want to do is send time alone with your mouth full of dip.

We all scrub toilets from time to time in life, no matter the degree we hold from a university. Don't let self-pity deceive you into thinking that you are a loser and therefore cannot remain quit.
So true. Not only does it eat at your body, but it slowly attacks your psyche one dip at a time. You don't realize how much it changes you, because it happens gradually.

Good afternoon my fellow quitters!

Before I go on my sob story about why I started my quit, I want to let everyone on here know how much I respect them! I admire you all for saying no to the nic bitch. This site has made me realize there are addicts out there just like me! Everytime I read a post on here about ninja dipping I smile because I beat myself up about it for so long, only to find out I was not alone.
Well anyway, I am 24 years old and have dipped since I was 18. I will never forget when I started dipping, freshman year of college my roommate introduced me to the bitch. It was during that first semester I trained my mind to use tobacco to deal with stress, how stupid. I dated a girl for 2 years around age 19 to 20. That's when I learned the ninja techniques, she caught me a few times but didn't know I was stuffing my face with dirt when I wasn't around her. Made me enjoy not being around her. She eventually cheated on me, I blamed her for my problems, not the can.
I graduated college with excellent grades, got a job, and moved out of my parents house. I was still married to the nic bitch.
Long story short, two years later I had a calamity at work and lost my job. So here I am, 24 years old with a civil engineering degree, scrubbing toilets (not all day long but part of the job) for the family business. You may read this and think, damn that sounds depressing. Yea it is, but it's what I needed to seriously understand how much nicotine has controlled my life for the past 6 years. Gona be a hell of a ride, but when I come out the other end I know I'll be a better person. 2 days quit! Bring on the cravings, I will not cave today!

-GrizBeGone
You are in the right place. Get hooked up with your quit group. Should be January.

Proud to quit with you.

Meanwhile head over to the January 2016 quit group, say hello to a bunch of bad ass quitters who will reach 100 days quit along with you. Post roll there every day, get to know those guys.

I quit with you today.
