Well this is a great start for you. I was exactly the same way, I couldn't tell you how many mostly full cans i've thrown away saying it was the "last one". By posting roll call here and using the site the way its meant to be used it gives you accountability. Get numbers from people in case you need to talk with somebody about what you're going through. This site will make this possible, I've never made it more than about 2 days without it.
Mouthshit is right. It seems so simple but if you are a man of your word and make a promise to us, that helps you overcome the cravings. I broke my promise to me plenty of times.

KTC was different.

First, I wanted to be done. I truly was the one driving my quit. I was so afraid that I alone couldn't do it. I feel that I was lead to kTC made my first promise, posted roll every day after that.

Is it still hard? Of course but my word is more valuable than a buzz so I stayed quit. 96 days in a row. Today, I love posting roll. It is the x factor of my quit. Simple and effective.

After a short period of time, your mind and eyes will open. This love affair you had humping your can of tobacco will turn to hate. I hate that industry so much! I never want it to control my life.

Tobacco is modern day snake oil. They sell you a carcinogen and you might get a little buzz. Really? You give up your freedom, money, integrity. Tobacco has been a false god that you bowed to? Now you want to quit? Good!

It sucks to go through a battle for freedom from vice. It is an all out personal war you are waging. You go to war to win! Spill tobaccos blood before it spills yours.

We all get cravings. Winners hate it. When the craving comes they don't entertain it, lament that they quit, and never look back at dipping with fondness.

Nicotine robbed you. It stole your integrity, freedom and you became an addict.

Fuck the evil, anti American weed of shit! When you crave, remember why you quit and say, not now, not today.

Seriously, if you crave, run! If the craving corners you, call for support and then get in the fight an knock the nic bitch out.

I am rambling but I am getting pissed!!! All new quitters...tobacco sucks! Avoid it, hate it and stop making love to it. Your cravings will be 10 times harder if you still glamorize it. I am getting tired of the undercurrent of missing it.

Again we are addicts and will get cravings. Hate tobacco, stop acting like you miss her. She is a sham! Fight, hate, and kill the nic bitch! Not tomorrow, that is too far away. Now, and today! If tomorrow comes, post roll and kick her ass again. Keep repeating and it will get easy.

First day quitting
« on: June 17, 2012, 09:54:00 PM »
Hey everyone my name is wesley i am a engineering student at mississippi state university. I have dipped red seal for the last 7 or so years. I tried once before to quit i lasted for about 5 weeks then gave in. The reason i tried to quit was that i was i started dating this beautiful woman and i didnt want her ro know. we started dating then fell in love then i started dipping again. I love her and we are soon going to get married but i dont want to be married to her and still dip. So this stuff has to go. My biggest question is this. How do you fight off the cravings that was what did my in the first time i tried to quit i was home alone ran by the gas station to grab a coke and then the guy at the register said "is that all" i caved and bought a can of red seal wintergreen. I must have tried to stop 10 more times after that moment throwing away cans after one dip. It was rough i need some people to help me. This is my first day off the stuff and i am determined to quit.
