OohRah! get you some quit Mike. welcome to the best decision you can make in your life. stay close to the site and read as much as you can from the wisdom section and hof speeches. drink lots of water, until you can drink no more, find you something as a replacement for the lip turds. I used altoids, firestick jolly ranchers, and sunflower seeds. some use the fake stuff. whatever keeps the poison out of your mouth. start gathering as many digits(phone#) from supports, this is key to your quit. My digits are a PM away.

Day 1
« on: December 27, 2017, 04:05:00 PM »
Well good afternoon everyone. I'm Mike (surprise). I started using tobacco a couple years ago, and now I'm ready to quit. I had established for myself that my solid "quit date" would be when I get out of the Marine Corps, which is in June. So I might as well start now in preparation for my transition to a regular life. I intend to stay active on here because it seems like a pretty supportive and informative group. I'm currently 22 and started smoking when I was 19, then dipping shortly thereafter. About 2 years ago I swapped out the smoking with vaping, just because it doesn't smell bad and doesn't make me cough. I have tried to quit once before, about a year and a half ago. I forced myself away from nicotine by going on a 10 day hike in the middle of nowhere. did just fine. once I got back from the hike, I went out in town a few days later and drank. Then smoked. So I know that drinking will be a "trigger" and I know what mistake I made in the past, and I know to be more cautious this time and to keep with it.
