Greetings all I am new to the quit. Found this site while I was searching LIVESTRONG for information on quiting. See I started this past week out with the intention of quiting. Monday came, had my seeds, and gum ready to go, was doing pretty good the whole day at work. Then came the ride home, nice 45 min drive, so the perfect trigger. Well needless to say I cracked and pulled into the store and bought a can. That night, I was sitting a my computer, dip in place, searching for ways to quit. I happened to be on LIVESTRONG.com entering my data for the day, when I noticed they had a dare regarding smoking, well I asked myself why don't they have one for dipping so started searching the site. That is when I found a link to here. Once started reading, especially the Jen And Tom Kern Letter, I pulled that last dip out and threw the can away. Needless to say I tried to register right then and there but evidently had some computer problems. So I contacted the admin. Finally, I am not active and on DAY 4.
I did have to call in the re-enforcements and purchase some fake dip. It is what it is.
Anyway, I'm glad to be here and once I figure out how to post roll will do so...
Like most have been dipping for several years, would say I was dipping 3-4 cans a week. Always depended on what was going on....golf, fishing, hunting, work,etc... I used dip to quit smoking, boy was that a stupid move. I think it is more addictive than the cigs.
