hello everyone.

I have recently quit dipping 15 days ago. Reason being I developed a change in sensitivity (not complete numbness, but partial) on my left lower lip. There also seems to be a small white spot in the area which I am not sure is dead skin or not.. I dipped for 2 years, the only thing is I only dipped on my lower left lip due to a minor oral surgery on my right lip unrelated to dipping.

Questions:

1. Has anyone experienced this change in sensation, partial numbness?

2. Has anyone on these forums had a peripheral nerve injury and did you continue to dip during recovery? If so, did you notice any impact on nerve healing?

Much thanks in advance guys!

Glad to be here.
Honestly, you're not here to quit nicotine. You are here to allay your fear of cancer. As soon as you feel that you don't have cancer, you'll put a dip in your mouth.

People quit nicotine because they are tired of being a slave to it and want to be free. The desire for freedom is the strongest tool to fight the enslavement of nicotine. Fear is temporary.

First - congrats on quitting!! Keep finding reasons to quit every day.

I am not a doctor, nor do I pretend to be. I did have Bells Palsy a few years ago.. that's the only nerve damage I have ever had.

My suggestion, go see a doctor... they will point you in the correct direction.

Again, welcome!! Feel free to post roll in your group - September 2018 Quit Group - those folks are about the same distance in their quit as you are
