GREAT choice. Your story is like mine...high school baseball. One difference is that you are quitting at the age I told myself I would quit...but then I kept dipping for another 9 years!!!

Actually, my deadline(s) were college, grad school, first job, new car, new house, birth of son...then daughter....it is embarrassing how nic compromised all of my personal goals and deadlines.

But no more...I'm 24 days quit after 20 years. You can do it, too. Embrace the suck, post up, repeat, and stay glued to this site. This site is the only thing that has kept me from caving. YOU CAN DO IT.

I have been a dipper since highschool, Im currently 30 and picked up the habbit on the high school baseball team. I dipped 1 dip a day for years but recently moved up to about 3-4 a day and I mean HUGE dips I can fit a little more then half a can of skoal in my lip. I was blowing through 10 cans a week. I'm not happy with the addiction I used it to calm anxiety which was the wrong move! So I just recently was given BP meds to control high BP which I am not out of sape bad enough to warrant meds. So I am now 5 days clean of dip not a single tobacco product has been in my lip at all. I have taken a total of 3 small none tobacco dips but to be honest they don't interest me at all. I feel like this is finally my time and I will be done forever! I have read that the first 3 days are bad but to be honest my anxiety is bad at times but I can't really say that I miss it. Can anyone give any advice or words of encouragement? :) I'm about to go flush my can and piss on it! LOL or should I save it just to smell it?

Thanks!!
Hitman- Step #1 is to get rid of any dip your holding on to because you will finger-bang it at some point. If you go and "sniff it" your next step will be to shove it in your face.

Your 5 days quit already which is a major accomplishment but don't get cocky. There are people on this site that have gone years without dipping only to think that they can have "just one". Next thing you know they come back to this site a year later starting at day 1.

I'm not a doctor but I'm willing to bet your BP is going to be much lower when your not stuffing 3 cans of dip a day in your face.

Read as much as you can on this site. Listen up to what people are telling you. Everyone here has been through it, proof that it can be done.
Go to the January Quit group and post roll.

Good Luck,
PM me if you need anything.

Just flushed it! I made a video so I can watch it if I get nervous.
