Short or long, the length/ time you used is irrelevant. People have gotten cancer from this shot way to fast!! The important thing is that you decides to quit!! Great choice!!! Like others said, I wish I cared sooner as well. I do want to bring to your attention a few things of which you said.

1. pissing my parents off.
- This is your life, the only person you should be concerned about pissing off is yourself.

2. Today I am quitting for my father .
- Like I stated above, this is your life, you can not quit for anyone except yourself!!! No one else will be there to put that shit in your lip! You are, they can't quit for you and you cannot quit for them. It has to be 100% you. Everything else is a bonus.

3. gonna try my damnedest not to go back.
- we don't try here, we do. If you try you will fail!!! You need to rewire your thinking and sac the fuck up and grow that hatred and confidence that you will beat this shit!!

It is very simple! We quit for today! We wake up! Do it again tomorrow!! One day at a time!

Good job quitting younger. I dipped for 3/4 of my life doesn't get easier waiting. I defiantly second the quit for you and only you. As you quit all of your family and friends will be super happy and proud of you. The people you meet on here will know exactly what you are goin though and its nice to talk with people when it feels like your having crazy withdrawal or strange symptoms.

Man I only wish I would have cared so much so early in my life....instead I had to battle my addiction for 24 years before Finally quitting. Just know going in that it's all a big head game. Quitting is 95% mental and 5% everything else. Get plenty of digits and use them every day if you need to, just know that you CAN beat this. PM me if you need my digits and I'm easy to find as I'm here everyday ,one day at a time
The BEST day to quit was Yesterday, the second best day is TODAY!

Welcome. You've made a great decision I wish I had when I was your age. I see you've found your September quit group. Keep posting your promise early every day. That's the cheapest insurance you can get to stay quit.

One thing - you need to quit for yourself. Only. I know it's Fathers Day, and it feels honorable to quit for your dad. But when those monster craves hit, your dad isn't the one that is going to keep that cat shit out of your mouth. You are. Quit for yourself. Make your parents proud as a side benefit.

I'm proud to quit with you.

Alrighty guys and gals. Ive only been chewing for four years but at a rate of about a can a day on average. Favorite was cope wintergreen but after beginning to notice mouth pain I switched to snus. My teeth continue to yellow because deep down I know that there is no viable replacement! I have to quit right now. I'm sick of being self conscious about my smile, and having disgusting breath and pissing my parents off. Today I am quitting for my father and gonna try my damnedest not to go back. Thank you all!
