No more sneaking off to Mr Lopart's store to buy dip. Wait that was Handy Manny

Only funny to those of us that have small kids, but damn hilarious. I figure Wendy is in for a big surprise when the nic is all cleaned out of Bob's system. She has no idea what's about to happen. :o
That's a fucking riot...Kelly will have whatever you need at her store anyhow...bitch has EVERYTHING and your 'candy' days are OVER! Mr. Lopart can't even put a fucking kitchen table together, lol.

Yo BTB-

You're in the right place brother, and you're ahead of the game by being here. I can tell you that I started dipping when I was 15 and before I knew it I was 33 and married with 2 kids and a tin+ a day habit that I couldn't kick. If I had found this site when I was 22 I may have been able to quit sooner. Stay committed, let me know if you need my personal cell # to use for support when times get tough, because they will. Day 13 looks pretty good right now, I'm sure I'll have some triggers at some point today, but the cravings ALWAYS pass in a couple of minutes and things normalize...for a little bit, lol. Stick with it and keep posting roll.

Welcome to September 2011!

Morning, Bob. Don't TRY, you must DO. Your life depends on it. So does mine. Decide that this is THE quit. We all have just one quit in us, and this is your time. Your intro got my attention because you decided to quit "cold turkey". Same here. I never did any of the crutches. I never even did any fake dip. I was just tired of carrying a can or pack all the time. I decided I was just done. 265 days later, here I am. It went quicker than I thought. You can do this. Let me know if I can help. Otherwise, I'll see you tomorrow on Roll.

Nice work Bob. Glad you made the decision to quit. I would stay away from words like "try". If you want accountability, "try" doesn't really inspire confidence.

You made the decision. You are now quit. Stick with it. And its one day at a time. That's it. Quit today and worry about tomorrow when its looking you in the face. Reach out when things get tough. Plenty of folks here to help.

Hi Robert! I'm started around the same age, and just quit 18 days ago. It's not easy, but take it one day at a time. There are many people here that want to help you. Roll call is super important. I believe you would be with the September quit group. If there is a day you can't do it, get numbers from your other quit brothers. Those will also be convenient if you get a craving and they will talk you down. Make sure you read a lot too. Some of those stories will make you realize just how huge a deal it is that you quit. There will be a lot of people giving you advice... TAKE IT TO HEART.
Congrats on such a great decision!

I'm Quittin!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Robert, I am 22 years old, I starting dipping when I turned 18. In retrospect I really can't think of why I started. I went camping with friends, they had dip, and I tried it, liked it, and continued using it daily. It didn't take long before I was going through at least a can a day. When I left home for college, I started using even more, since I didn't have to hide it from my parents. Went up to 2-3 cans a day, when I wasn't in class, I had a dip in.
I tried to quit just before my 20th birthday with nicotine lozenges, started with the 2mg, but quickly jumped to the 4mg, and that ended up just "getting me through classes"... When the 4mg didn't seem to cut it, I upped it to two lozenges at a time, so, 8mg wedged into my cheeks at all hours of the day... it did decrease my dip usage, but only a little. I still would dip when I was alone, or stressed.
I have come to the realization that the only way I will be able to quit is cold turkey. I've tried before and failed. I get to a week and mess up once, and fall off the deep end again and again...
I want accountability... it's been 96 hours with zero nicotine... I'll try this roll call thing...
