Proud of you Quiet Storm. You've made the right decision, one you must honor one day at a time. Don't worry about tomorrow, stay focused on your quit today, moment by moment. You can't control other people, you can only control yourself and your choices. You've made a good one by coming here and getting plugged into the system. Do not allow resentment against the KTC system and way of life begin to sneak in. It is the nic-bitch disguised as snowflake individualism and will get you justifying the abandonment of this proven system. You need it. I sure do.

Above all, get digits from your other group members. Always reach out in moments of great difficulty and you can have folks post on your behalf when you can't get on the PC or on the phone is too technically challenging.

Welcome Storm
Good effort on roll, they only way to mess it up is to not be on it.
If we can do it, so can you, it will be hard but soo worth it.

You can do this, man.

You really can.

I chewed for 25 years and 2 cans a day for a good chunk of it.

Today?... in my badass July 13 group, I typed "AJ... 1,205".

Get your name on roll... get involved... stay involved. It's that simple. Own this and freedom is yours.
Well, it’s one louder, isn’t it? It’s not ten.

Welcome to the Fog! and KTC Quiet Storm. Congrats on your decision to take back control of your life. You've got some difficult days ahead of you, but you can do it. I'm about your same age and I know how you feel. "Is it possible to quit something I've been doing for so long?" Yes! One Day At A Time, you can do it!

Like you said, get started posting role in November. Do it 1st thing in the morning(but go ahead and get your 1st post in now) What you're doing when you post role is promising yourself and your brothers that you won't use NIC today. It's not a report on whether or not you made it through the day at the end of the day. Swap digits with the guys in your group, so you can send them a text on mornings you can't post. AND by all means, hang around and get to know us, otherwise your "promise" to a bunch of strangers won't mean squat to you.

Click on the following link for a video on posting roll. It helped me out. PC How to post roll

You can do this, I quit with you today
Just one and you will be back where you started.
And where you started was desperately wishing
you were where you are right now.

Day 3!
« on: August 03, 2016, 03:32:00 PM »
I quit Sunday night when I went to bed. Been a rough ride so far but gets better every day. Had some tough moments and was saved by some fine people in chat here. My wife has been awesome even through my horrible initial physical withdrawal. I won't bullshit, it's brought me to tears more then once. I started smoking when I was 17, around 23-4 I started dipping some Skoal cherry to get off cigs. Here were are and I'm 45 years old and that Kodiak bear had her claws in me good. 20 plus years of at least a can a day, kicked my ass the first two days but I feel sorta human today and I need to join the Nov quit group. The fog is lifting and I couldn't be more stoked to be quit.

Can one of the mods PM me? I'd like to change the title of this post, I don't have the priveledge to do it. And out of respect for the day 3 post in sticky above, I'd like it changed. Thanks.
