Welcome, Tim. We are also on a similar time line as I quit July 15th. That doesn't matter though as July 25th is the only day you can do anything about right now. So stay on the site, meet some new people, read some October drama (you'll get that eventually), get in chat.

Welcome aboard Tim -

I'm pretty sure we are in the same quit group. My quit day was 7.20.2011
If it was not for KTC.....I know what I'd be doing right now.

If you get to feeling like your gonna cave - first DON'T Cave. EVER.

But if you think you might...get here as quick as you can.....always helps.

Welcome Tim.
We are all going through this together and one day at a time we will make it.
Reach out for help when you need it, stay far away from the store when you are weak and spend as much time as possible on this site.
Stay quit!

For the past 30 yrs. I continuously had a dip in my lip from the time I woke up until I went to bed, except for at mealtime. Very few people would of ever suspected it, I hide it well! The deception and guilt is over...I'm one stubborn Chick that will never fall victim to the can again!

Boeddy,

Welcome aboard. I think you better wrap your head around the notion of being an addict. We're all addicts here.

Check out the Welcome Center in the upper left pink link. Get an idea of what is too come. Read as much as you can. Post roll everyday.

This isn't easy. You have to be ready to fight for it.

Day 11
« on: July 25, 2011, 01:11:00 AM »
Hey Everyone,
My Name is Tim and I Decided a couple months ago I was going to quit prior to starting this fall as a student teacher and high school coach. Finally on July 13, 2011 finished my last can and haven't bought one since. The last day or so has been harder than the rest so I searched the internet for help quitting dip and found this site. I decided as a PE/health teacher I couldn't very well tell my students to keep their bodies tobacco free while I used tobacco so here I am. The hardest time has been while I drive since that was where I primarily dipped. It's a dogfight right now but I'm taking it one day at time. Definitely experiencing the hazy/foggy effects of withdrawl lately so reaching out for help or maybe reaching out for support is a better way to phrase seemed like a good idea. I "quit" last Dec and made it to Late Feb but stumbled back into the habit especially since I didn't have the support system needed to quit addiction. Thanks for anyone who reads.
