I have tried hooch, and smokey. To be honest I like the smokey better. I was a big fan of skoal peach once in a blue moon and I think their peach hits the spot, tastes more like an actual peach, rather than a chemical compound with a minor peach smell.
With SM I find it browns your teeth pretty good, but a simple brush and mouthwash it goes away. The stuff literally looks like animal hair, but it doesn't float around your mouth like the hooch did,and it wasn't as dry. Maybe I just got a shitty order of hooch, not sure, because everyone raves about it, but personally if you need that oral fixation for the first month or two,get some SM and some seeds.
Thank you for the advice. Do you know if Walmart sells hooch and smokey? I live in southern NY if that helps?
Some walmarts sell smokey mtn, hooch is mostly sold online, tho.
Yea, I am outside of Philly, the Walmarts here sold the Smokey Mountain, but did have to order the Hooch online.
and never worry about getting off the fake as there is no chemical that will bind you to it. when the time comes and it varies, the need to use it will just fade away
I am guessing quitting the fake could be tough, out of habit. Nothing addicting about chewing on your nails, but some people simply can't stop it, its just a habit they have had for a long time. But I guarantee you, quitting herbal snuff would be a hell of a lot easier than quitting dip, that's for sure
It's not tough. You can drop the habit easily. It has no addictive elements to it. Yes, the first day is slightly annoying, but it's nothing really. I dropped it around day 130, and it was no big thing. I just got tired of using it. I do keep it on hand for tax season and drinking with friends.
Panel is spot on. It is hard to drop addictive items. Things that are not, well, you can drop them like a $5 hooker's panties.
Wait, did the hooker pay $5 for the panties?
Downwithopp, were you thinking of joining us? Are you still quit? I have seen one roll post, what's the story?
This got me thinking. Why do some people quit and others cave? Quitting is like a war, you have to believe you can win. You have to give it all you got, you cannot be weak or impressionable. You must make the decision in your core and let it not be shaken. If you are an excuse maker quit will avoid you. We all have BAD problems. Yours are not special, in fact your problems begin with your addiction and end with your excuses, all the other shit going on is just life.
It has been 149 days since I jumped on the HOF train and I am much happier now that I'm still quit than I was then. Dave, Claws, Hope, Roadking, String, Hayduke, and all of Feb 14, you rock and you know deep inside of you what it takes to be quit.
New quitters must understand that it takes a purpose to be quit. Somehow KTC fills that purpose.
If any new quitters are reading this, look deep inside of yourself and if you truly want to be quit, the path is here and it starts with your determination.
