Thanks everyone. I haven't had time to be on much. And I've felt like crap all weekend. So I have attempted to figure out roll call. My energy is gone and I'm going to sleep 2 hours earlier than normal. I could sleep right now.

22 days is awesome on your own. It is hard to do. I would jump right on in and get started. Feel free to not only post your roll, but shoot the shit as well. Kick off a conversation or two. And don't feel obligated to your group only. Feel free to mingle. We MANY other quit groups out there that are talkers and love to chat and get the extra support.

While your at it if you have some free time, head on over to the Hall of Fame speeches and give those a read. AS well, check out the words of wisdom! Great stuff!

Accountability as said, is the number one thing here man. We do not see each other face to face so we hold our promises and accountability here to a very high standard. Post EDD! Wake up, piss and go post first thing every single day. The earlier the better. If you work odd hours or wake up at odd times, don't be afraid to let your quit buddies know. If not they will call you out on it. Me for example, some days I am up early, other days I'm not up until 2 PM central. My group will come looking usually after 2 pm for me. If you can't post roll that day for what ever reason, text or call a quit buddy. They will be more than glad to do it for you if they can. Accountability man.

Anyhow, I got to run for now. You have your self a mighty fine one. Look forward to seeing you on the boards!

**EDIT**
Last Activity Today, 6:36 AM and no roll post? Do you need help getting started?
Have you figured out how to post roll yet? If so, where y'at, Bryant?

If I could I would. If I don't, it's because I am lazy.

Mn, hats off and props for getting to day 22 on you're own. That there is worthy of a congratulations as it's arguably one of the toughest hurdles to battle - that first month. Nicotine is out of your system now and your body is already on the mend. It will take time - 30 years of chemical dependency doesn't just fade away, so just be informed that the mind games nicotine will play on you are going to be there for some time. However, NOW is the time to build your quit. Build accountability. AND LIVE FREE of nicotine!

Get involved here, make friends, get numbers - build a network of quitters who's sole purpose in life is to keep you quit. Or, how I like to think of it - their sole purpose is to save my life every day. I have no other friends in the world who do this for me, and now I have legit friends here - people I text/talk with, meet up in person, you name it. I've built a castle of quit so strong, that any nicotine whisper, crave, or thought is pulverized on impact.

Almost 1,000 days in and the free life continues to get better and my ROI on this quit can't be measured. I want this for you too. PM me if you need digits and want a badass rock in your foundation of quit.

Just a little lesson on how to post roll using a smart phone or tablet. It's basically the same for android and iPhone. One difference is the "select all" button on a droid looks like 4 dots inside of a larger rectangle or sometimes dots surrounding a square. I use my phone everyday for posting. I post as part of my routine of waking up because quitting is part of my daily routine. Essentially the task at hand is to cut the roll text/code from the lower "quoting" box and putting it in the top "reply" box. Then adding your name. Here are the steps:
  • Press the quote button on the roll post.
  • once the new page loads, Press one time on the lower section. Then press and hold for a second on the lower box.
  • Press "select all" then press "cut" or the scissor icon on droid
  • press once in the upper empty box
  • Press and hold again for 1 second in upper box
  • Press "paste"
  • Scroll down to the part where the last quitter signed his name, add your name and day count with a personalized 'Finger' to nicotine, if you so choose.
  • to hide your keyboard: Press "done" above your iPad keyboard, or the 'back' button on droid and then zoom out (this step is optional. It just gives you more viewing window by hiding the keyboard. this is more for phones)
  • Find and press "post reply" just below the now empty bottom text box.
There is a 'test' thread out in the wildcard that people can practice on. If you really are not comfortable using your phone to post up, you can alternatively press the "add reply button" on the bottom right of the window and type your roll as a separate post. The next person to post can then add you to roll. Post roll early and often. Take on nicotine first damn thing everyday and I promise you won't miss days.

MNBRYANT2001 - Welcome!! It has been a while since I reached out to new quitters and that is a failure on my part. I am at day 400 today and I felt the urge to try to help someone new. I used that crap for 26 years and it was a hard habit to break. But I do take pride when I see someone with a fat lip that I think (1) how stupidly disgusting they look and then (2) how I am a better person than them. No, I am not always a better person, but I tell myself that. It is a long journey and you are already at day 22, there have been many that didn't make it that far, so be proud!

As far as posting from an iPhone, I have no clue!! I have asked and can never seem to get an answer. At worst, you can still post in your group from your phone without copying and pasting, at least that will show participation. I still have to do that every now and then when I am away from the electronic world.

Anyway, stay strong, stay quit, and when the days get hard, think of the reason you came here initially.

Great to be here
« on: July 23, 2016, 03:57:00 PM »
I'm 47. The last time I went without wintergreen dip was when I quit for 6 months at 17.
I really have no clue what life is like without nicotine. My first dip came around age 10-12. Since age 17 I've been at a can to a can and a half since then.
I've take heartburn meds the last 10 years just so I could dip. Not to mention blood pressure meds since 35.

Today is day 22 without a dip. I am in Wellbutrin. It's taken some of the edge of. Yet it's still hasn't been easy. The fog is still here. I'll start posting roll if I can figure out how from my iPhone.
I've read here as a guest for a while. Great inform the site. I have a great support team already. But thought joining the site might be even better.

Thanks,
